UST PT Student Shot and Killed last night...

Not really car related. I just wanted to share. A second year UST PT student was shot and killed last night along P.Noval/Espana during an apparent hold-up. We were at the emergency room at the time he arrived on board a police vehicle. He was still holding onto his bag. Even non-surgical/trauma team (IM, pedia, neuro, etc.) personell were called-in to assist during the mayday.

It got to the point that the victim's chest had to be opened up so his heart could be hand massaged in an effort to save him.

But he was mortally wounded. We couldn't save him.

Naawa lang ako sobra. Especially, when his family arrived to identify the victim. Wala lang. Ingat tayo parati. Dami pa ding halang ang bituka sa lipunan.

Nasa side pa ata siya ng UST. Hindi pa nakakatawid. Not sure lang po. Medyo magulo na kasi that time. Though the eyewitness claims na nakatakbo pa yung victim before he fell.

Sad to read this kind of story....

Another poor soul wasted on a senseless environment, which reminds me mas maigi pa nga sana na ibalik mga checkpoints, at least increased yung police visibility kahit papano naiwasan sana mga ganito.

Hope justice will be properly served.

May he Rest in Peace. Dyan din na hold-up kabarkada ko sa P.Noval cor. Dapitan. Pwd po malaman kung saan banda sa P.Noval na hold up? Malapit poba sa CFAD Bldg? May nahuli na po kasi kami ng mga barkada ko na 2 holdapers dyan nung nag inuman kami, baka sila na naman ito.

actually dito rin tinutukan yung wife ko way back in our college years (2nd yr).... sa mat fra angelico bldg harap ng SR thai. madami tao dito, kaya lang sobra na garapal ng mga tao... wala na kinakatakutan.

Wow, he hit a running target straight thru the heart! On a bike! (5m = approx. 2secs for a normal human sprint - no time to get off bike so 2sec snap aim) Ako nga, after 3 visits to the range bago maka-tama me ng heart on a stationary targetboard (double-action kasi, hehe).

Sabi-sabi e mga criminals na yun may mga police protection..... I guess may access din sila to firearms training facilities, mahal yun ha. Tsk tsk, kawawa naman.

Too lucky. Alaga ng pulis yan. At least mukhang may na-produce na heat (police presence mentioned earlier). If it's any consolation, this means na-salvage na mga yan.
