nakaka shock na nga yung mga killings nangyayari sa pinas. bata, matanda, babae or lalake na napapatay ng ganun ganun lang dahil sa pagnanakaw or dahil sa lango sa droga. dapat ibalik na yang death penalty.

Kung nakikipag away at in the heat of battle napatay mo pwedeng homicide.

Magpaputok ng warning shot and try to break-up the fight.

Warning shot = possible collateral damage. He can't leave his post din. IMO tama ang ginawa nya: call for backup.

May proper warning shot naman eh. Unless talagang wala siya training doon then he obviously cannot fire. But yung mga sekyu dito sa amin kasi may training dyan kaya SOP na kapag within vicinity mo or area of responsibility, a guard can and should fire a warning shot.

Also I did mention that he should not leave his post. Yung sinabi ko na "try to break up the fight", kasama kasi sa warning shot yung pag-instruct din na itigil na yung nangyayari, kaya naman gawin yun without leving his post. Pero I firmly believe na kung nagwarning shot siya, the incident would have been contained. Siyempre magugulat yung apat.

Mukhang kulang lang talaga sa training mga guards. Tinitipid ng agency malamang.

Cops release photos of suspects in Bel-Air murder

report from Maan Macapagal, ABS-CBN News

    Posted at 11/27/2012 9:34 PM | Updated as of 11/27/2012 10:08 PM

MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) - Three businessmen and one student were behind the mauling and murder of the husband of an American diplomat in Bel Air Subdivision, Makati on November 24, police said Tuesday.

Authorities have released photos of the 4 suspects behind the murder of George Anikow, a member of the US Mission to the Philippines and an inactive US Marine, during an altercation at the gate of the plush subdivision.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera recorded the murder.

The suspects, who have been arrested, are Galicano Datu III, a 22-year-old 4th year college student at De La Salle University; and businessmen Osric Cabrera, 27; Crispin dela Paz, 28; and Juan Alfonso Abastillas, 24.

Showing footage taken by a closed-circuit television camera, Makati police said Abastillas was the one who stabbed Anikow thrice using a tactical knife.

An ABS-CBN News team went to a dialysis clinic owned by one of the suspects, Cabrera.

There, couple Raffy and Mylene Baksal were saddened to hear the allegations against Cabrera.

Mylene is one of 6 kidney patients who get free dialysis at the clinic.

"Charity niya, mabait siyang tao. Hindi kami makapaniwala na magagawa niya," Raffy said.

Cabrera's father, meanwhile, said murder charges should not have been filed against his son because he was not the one who stabbed the victim.

Anikow was mauled and stabbed dead after he interfered in the security screening of the suspects who were trying to enter a Bel-Air gate at Rockwell Drive and Kalayaan Avenue in Makati City at around 4 a.m. Saturday.

It drew the ire of the 4 men, with a confrontation escalating into a mauling and stabbing.

Metro Manila police Director Leonardo Espina has ordered an investigation on a private guard who was present during the incident, saying he did not do anything to stop the crime.

But the guard insisted that he stepped in from the very start and called police and his colleagues immediately.

This resulted in the quick capture of the suspects, the guard explained. He also called for an ambulance for the victim.

He added that he did not notice a knife being held by one of the suspects because the area was dimly lit.

Meantime, the US embassy denied on Tuesday that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents will come or have arrived in Manila to conduct its own probe into the killing. -- with ANC

AFAIK, there is no warning shot sa kahit anong SOP ng guards or police. parang may criminal liability ata ang warning shot if my memory serves me right.
