    Since monday may tumatawag sa wife ko sa office na taga Sky Cable raw and that we have an unpaid balance of Php 2,000 since 2004 pa raw . My wife said that she requested disconnection nun pang 2004 due to house renovation and since then we were not advised na may unpaid bills pa kami. She even questioned bakit ngayon lang sisingilin eh dumaan na ang two years na wala kaming natatanggap na billing statement or notice at wala tumatawag samin eh hindi naman pinutol yung phoneline. So my wife asked them to present some proof na may unpaid dues nga kami so we can settle it. They answered na kami daw ang magpresent ng proof namin ng payments namin. Imagine kami pa paghahalungkatin ng files namin eh sino pa ba naman ang mag-aakalang after almost 3 years eh sisingilin pa kami The argument came to the extent of the guy using foul language such as "salsal" and giving death threats such as "ipapa salvage kita eh" to my ninang. . I called sky cable and they gave me the name (TRICOM) and number of the collection agency na naghahandle nung samin. I called them to tell them my complaint and from the start ayaw na agad nila magbigay ng mga details na kailangan ko such as full name of company, persons in charge, etc. Pinasa ako sa isang ATTY. GERALDO DAYAO, (I don't know kung totoong pangalan to, pero he's just posing as an atty.) Nalaman kong hindi siya atty on our conversation. You know what imbes na magsorry sila at bigyan ng disciplinary actions yung mga tao nila eh sila pa matapang at nanloloko ng tao. Mga Bwisit. .

    Tumawag ka muli, irecord mo ang conversation ninyo. Make sure incriminating. Then ask Skycable the company address for you to subpoena the man. :D

    there is a personal spot in hell for collection agencies. i hope no one here works for or has considered working for these companies.

    beyond these practices it appears that there are no consequences for that kind of behavior. i have been the victim of their bullying tactics also (same dispute as you - i have refused to pay a supposed old bill that i have never seen for a service cancelled long ago. i have politely requested proof pero wala silang maibigay kundi legal threats and other garbage. now i'm not paying just for the principle of the thing)

    the sad part is there appears to be nothing we can do legally against them. if anyone can figure it out let me know.

    * Sir boybi

    Eto po Tel. # nila 4108560. Sa mga gusto mangulit at mangharrass feel free to call Hanapin niyo si Atty. Geraldo Dayao (daw?)

    *BoyBawang

    Hoy nasa hot seat si Gen. Palparan ngayon baka imbes na siya mahuli baka ako madampot dahil sa sinabi mo . Bro, hindi sa bahay namin to sa bahay ng biyenan ko. Kaya nga inaaway ko yung mga yun eh. Para biyenan ko lusubin hahaha

    The only problem I see here is our government is not doing anything para matigil yung mga nanloloko na ito. Kasi kung legitimate yung hinihingi nila they should present the proof kung ano-ano yung sinisingil nila. They were saying kulang kami ng 2K pero asan ang proof nila. I don't know if it's true pero this agencies daw buys the list of subscribers with problems from the cable company with a deal na everytime na makakakuha sila ng payment eh may commission sila. Kaya there's a possibility na hokus pokus yung iba.

    I work for a financing company, and we have a savings bank as an affiliate.

    I'm not here to defend collection agencies, because some can really be obnoxious and uncouth. But from a financing company's perspective, there really are some borrowers who can be doubly obnoxious and rude. Really, unless you work for a bank (or any company with a problematic rate of receivables) can you fathom the headaches caused by delinquency.

    The most effective solution, by far, is to fight fire with fire, so to speak. I've had more than my fair share of such borrowers, and I can tell you sasakit talaga ulo mo sa kanila. Dito lang naman sa Pinas na sila na nga me utang, sila pa galit. What we do, just file criminal and civil cases (esp. kung BP22), and implement the arrest warrants, para madala.

    Pero ibang usapan na yan pag wala namang utang in the first place, tapos naniningil sila.
