A repost from the Let's BOYCOTT the TOYOTA FORTUNER thread

Updated list of unscrupolous Toyota dealers: In no particular order except for Otis

    1. Otis - absolute no accessories-no unit release policy (Kel leather seats, dvd, etc). The king of all swindlers, living the time of its life.

    2. Commonwealth - Kel seats, in-house insurance, accessories

    3. Balintawak and Balintawak North - confirmed accessories galore (in the words of the sales-agent para daw to make your case an "extra-ordinary" one compared to others waiting in the line). Make your order more "extra-ordinary" by getting their In-house financing along with all the accessories they can put.

    4. Shaw Ortigas - confirmed accessories galore (Thule cargo case, bling-bling, bull bar, hood cover). In-house financing helps speed up the waiting time.(yeah right)

    5. Alabang -

Below are Metrobank owned dealers - units being sold here are either because of inside "connections", close associate with Metrobank, or especially a client of the bank.

    6. Manila Bay

    7. Cubao- In-house financing is a must.

Pls add. more if you know anymore unscrupolous dealers and your comments on how they delivered the "racket" on you.

Funny, despite all the accessories galore many dealers are pushing, I have yet to see a Fortuner with at least some bling-blings on (giant magwheels), let alone more accessories sticking on its back, front, left, right, top sides. All the Fortuners I have seen so far are bone stock. I dont know about the interiors though. I'm sure there a lot of suckers who had to give in to the dealer's predatory schemes. Maybe the owners converted everything back to stock after the delivery, out of shame??? of being labelled a "sucker" by those who are aware of these kind of schemes.

Dude, meron ding kasabihan na "blood is thicker than water". Since bagong launch pa lang ang Fortuner, maliban dun sa mga suckers, a great portion of the early allocations are being channeled to Toyota Management, their families, kumpare, kamag-anak, ka-brad sa alumni, kapit-bahay, asawa ng pamangkin, etc. Yan ang mga inu-una sa pila.

Kung may ka-brad kang nagta-trabaho sa isang Toyota Dealership, you will contact him no doubt, right? The closer is your relationship to a Toyota Dealer/Agent, the less bling-blings on your unit. Nakakahiya naman kung tatagain mo yung tito mo or your drinking buddy diba?

That could take until middle of next year.

Such a total turn-off! That's why I've already cancelled my reservation for this damn truck! I thought I'd be able to get this ride when I get to visit on November, then I was told that next year pa raw kami makakakuha!!

But I'd be the first to break the rule! I'll REALLY BOYCOTT TOYOTA and tell my entire family and clan and all my friends to do the same!! Nakakabad-trip kasi!

All four cars in our household are mitsubishi's and honda's. hmmmm... come to think of it, naboycott ko na pala sila a long time ago because I have never owned a toyota.

Personally, the last Toyota (Corona) we ever purchased was back in 1978 when I was not even born yet! Imo, Toyota products are way too boring and bland.

<--- Anong ipinagmamalaki niyo? Drum breaks? Haha...

i inquired kahapon about the fortuner. sabi sakin nung agent na kausap ko, mahigit 100 daw yung nakapila sa kanila and it will take at least six months to get my unit. i said na sayang naman kako at gusto ko makuha before christmas. bigla nya sinabi, sir meron hong paraan kung gusto nyo makuha agad unit. then he enumerated yung mga add-ons and showed me the total amount... after that, i said thank you and nagpaalam na ako...

    the principal amount for a 4x2 2.7L gas = 1,535,000.00

I hope you can reveal which dealer this is so that i can update the "shame" list of unscrupulous Toyota dealers.

IMHO, this amount for the gas 2.7L model is not worth it anymore. and with a fuel mileage of about 4 to 6 km/l running on unleaded fuel, no thanks

a good second hand SUV diesel unit, even if it runs at 5 - 6 km/l, is far better if you really want the 7 seat capacity badly

My brother in law ordered the fortuner a week ago sabi early next year pa daw dadating.

Grabe mga tao sa ibang dealership, pinagkakakitaan pa yung demand for the Fortuner.

Kung in demand yung color and model na gusto mo, mas malaki padulas.

3 dealer...same scheme. 1 sa Manila at 2 sa QC.
