    Got this text from an agent in one of Toyota's many dealers:

    "Hi gud am! Dis is ****** of toyota *******, jst want 2 inform u we have available fortuner provided it wld be inhouse financing, inhouse insurance and wid 305,000 worth of accessories.. Jst let me knw po f intrested.. Tnx! Gud day!Ü"

    I asked the agent to fax me the details of the offer. Here are the figures:

    Unit Price _____________P1,533,000.00
    Compre Insurance__________61,945.00
    LTO Reg. (3yrs)_____________9,000.00
    Chattel Mortgage __________31,452.00
    Full Leather _______________70,000.00
    HID Lights_________________25,000.00

    Notice the outrageous figures? It's definitely too much!

    The text marketing is a definite sign that they are having trouble selling the units they blinged-up. I guess they have lots of these upgraded units gathering dust (and rain) in their dealership parking lots. And, nobody wants 'em! Who'd want a P1.8M+ unit? That's nearly the price of a more upscale Ford Explorer XLT!

    grabe. considering ang daming pending orders for stock fortuners e nakuha pa nilang magbenta ng dressed up?? labo. and the condition that it be in-house financed? highway robbery! kakaiba. tsk tsk. yumayaman na talaga pinoy (or some of them). seller's market na ang auto industry dito eh

    Yikes! I know people lined up for the Fortuner coz of its kinda unbelievable price(P1.2M) complimented with its stunning good looks.

    70k for leather!?!? Pati makina dapat leather ah!
    210K for mags and tires!?!?! Ano toh gawa sa ginto??

    what financing rates are they offering? at the end of four years you would have paid 2.8m for a damn fortuner... ok toyota ah...
