ROBBERS broke into a car showroom in Quezon City after midnight Monday, carting away up to P300,000 in cash.
Police said seven armed men entered the Toyota Commonwealth Avenue branch at about 1:40 a.m.
At gunpoint, the men disarmed security guard Clemen Anesito, tied his hands and legs, and herded him toward a toilet, police added.
The suspects then grabbed the keys from Anesito, entered the showroom, and took around P300,000 from the cashier’s booth, according to a report of Supt. Julius Abanes, commander of the Batasan Hills police station.
Anesito told police that their service firearms, a .38-caliber revolver and a shotgun, as well as a Nokia 3210 cell phone, were also taken by the suspects.
A shotgun with some ammunition, however, was left behind, police said.
