MMDA had jurisdiction over all of metro manila. Logical naman na local government units (cities) have to submit to national government authorities (mmda).

Unless the LTO handbook I had was wrong, bawal talaga parking within 6M of a curb. Pati yung pag-sampa sa sidewalk bawal din, mas mabuti pa park ka na lang sa gilid...

Now, regarding other things I think what we have is a really sad case of greed (authorities) and laziness (ourselves). Apologies firsthand because this is a rant, and I understand sometimes the situation really sucks, but then we can either pass blame or deal with it. We could blame the disrespectful towing companies, the establishments that dont provide adequate parking or even the government, or we can learn to use our legs.

Personally I park somewhere for a day and then walk... Before 2-3km in a day, now around 1km na lang. People from EU find our habits so silly... Even with public transportation people just have to stop right then and there, instead of having designated loading/unloading areas and walking to these areas. Pati tawiran ganun din, there are so many people who won't be assed to hike over to a pedestrian lane or overpass.
