Re: That KTM bike...
Expect to be challenged to impromptu rezzing by imbeciles wearing shorts, sando and slippers on underbones with fart cans made out of tin.
True story, coming from a guy I knew who has a Kawasaki Rouser.

I thought it was the other way around. They'd back off and stay far... I remember a long time ago at the Fort, some underbones were meeting up near Pier 1 and showing off their wares. I ran into a friend who was waiting for his other buddy and when the guy came along, he parked his BMW GS1100 near the underbones. I noticed the underbone guys started moving their bikes away. :D
Kinda like when you see a racer-racer boy driving fast on the highway then a Subbie or BMW M, or some euroxotic happens along... biglang good boy na sila. Recently i encountered a Subbie Impreza who was driving a bit aggressively and when a Porsche happened by, biglang bumait. There'll always be bigger fish indeed.![]()

^^^ Know anybody selling an SL? I heard maraming barn finds sa Pampanga.

Only fools riding underbones do that. They may have the upper hand at standing start, but once the big bikes get moving, it will eventually boil down to how many cylinders the both of you have.
OT: What model? The MBs i see up for sale in the area now are usually the Cagayan imports... 90s to early 2000s models. On the way to the sisig place i showed you from Clark, you'll pass one of those dealers and i spied some G-wagens in his showroom recently, all B-plates.
BTT: I agree, the underbones may get ahead off the line but once the speeds build, it's bye-bye time. You gotta love it when you see them "buma-banking"on city roads. :D

Many people in the world have the right combination of baseless bravado and stupidity. Hence, such things happen.![]()

Yup, driving a left hand drive car in right hand drive Japan is a status symbol among locals. Left hand drive cars usually command higher road taxes and registration fees AFAIK.

Kawawa yung taxi driver, nabali at nabasag side mirror assembly nya.
They're parts, maintanance are cheap! Everything they may spend sa motor nila is cheap compared to car owners.

T*** *** biglang nalaglag!
I just rolled my window down and said "ISUOT MO KASI YUNG HELMET MO SA ULO MO!" then I gave him the finger.![]()
Paano ba natin sila mababawasan?![]()
I'm out on the road daily. I usually go through Alabang, Makati, the Fort, Ortigas Centre and New Manila. I probably see 3-4 motorcycle accidents weekly. Just the other day, I wanted to go to Banawe. I was on Quezon Avenue coming out of Roces and I was going to take the u-turn slot to head to Roosevelt. A car ahead of me was making the u-turn too. It was an old black expedition. A speeding motorcycle rammed straight into it. I think the rider got hurt from the force of the impact. The driver went down to check on the rider but a lot of other motorcyclists stopped and started shouting at and ganging up on the expedition driver. I could only shake my head. I wanted to stop as well but I would be holding up traffic if I did. I didn't see what happened after. Having seen the accident, that speeding motorcyclist was wrong and what made matters worse was that those other motorcyclists ganged up on the poor expedition driver.
^ Yan ang problema sa mga motor. Pag na-aksidente ang isa sa kanila, the others automatically assume that its the fault of the 4 wheeled vehicle.
And so on, and so forth.
Kaya, Ladies and Gentlemen, tuwing nag di-drive, lalo na ngayon na pasko, kaliwa-kanan ang kasiyahan at mga christmas party, ugaliin na tingnan palagi ang mga side mirrors at rear view mirror before lumiko, umabante, mag-park, etc. Baka may lasing na mahirap, walang helmet, walang insurance, walang utak, na nagmo-motor sa gilid or likod nyo.
Bato-bato sa langit, tamaan wag magalit. What I said was a fact of life on the our streets.
