Peeps, ingat lang kayo sa Galleria basement parking.

There have been two incidences (That I know of) of spare tires being stolen. Both CRVs. One belongs to a co-worker ('99) and one belongs to one of the bosses(03 or 04). Both occurred within FEB-MAR

The latter also had it's tire cover stolen, so it's obviously no deterrent.

I suggest you get those 'abloy' keyed lugnuts to make sure.

na text nga sa akin ito ni PK.

PK... may lock ba yun spare tire cover? or tinanggal rin yun? did the management of Robinson's Galleria pay for the stolen items?

M2, Yung tire cover ni boss may padlock. baka may bolt cutters sila.

RLC will just issue a report or certificate which you could use to claim with insurance. ;)

PK... saang area sila naka park? B2 right?

sa B3 ako laging naka park... eksaktong sa pagkakababa ng B3, so laging may dumadaan na sasakyan at tao... and naka park facing the wall kaya kita lagi yung likod.

Buti kung spare lang ang inaalis. Some M.O.'s now involve taking the spare as well as the spare tire hanger on the tailgate! 4-6 bolts lang kasi ang humahawak and madali dukutin from behind the tire (in case may lock ang tire).

Land Rover even suggests parking with the tailgate against the wall para hindi makuha ang spare tire.

yup, park the spare facing the wall with minimum space to remove the spare. mas madali pa makalabas ng parking space

Sa SM, bumabangga yung spare ko sa pader. Buti na lang hindi lumulubog yung tailgate. Siguro naman hindi na nila mananakaw kung literal nang nakadikit sa pader. hehehe.

Effective to a certain extent. But as I've said, some thieves bypass the lock and just take the tire and tire holder (by unbolting it from the body).

I don't think Robinson's did, or will pay for the lost items. In most if not all malls, it's indicated in the parking that they are not responsible for theft. It's a matter of "Park at your own risk, but pay us nevertheless."

Yan hirap sa atin magbabayad ka ng parking fee, pag may nawala sa loob ng car mo, at mismong yung car mo ang mawala the are not liable, but pag may nagawa kang damaged sa parking nila bayad ka! Only in the Philippines.

Si late Sen. cayetano lang ang gumawa ng bill tungkol dito na all service oriented institutions as well as malls should allot parking spaces for their customers FREE OF CHARGE but sad to say nakamatayan na niya at wala na nangyari, I still remenber sa isang interview niya sa radio na itago lang daw ang mga parking ticket natin na nabayaran at time will come ire reimbursed ito sa atin.

Sa luneta nga mga bro, may bayad na ang parking fronting Quirino grandstand, would you believe a public place lalagyan ng parking fee I think this is gross!

Its not like side mirrors na seconds lang to take, tapos they can walk away na hindi halata na dala nila yung mirrors. Hindi ba suspicious sa guards someone walking away with a spare tire (with a tire cover pa at that ). Unless katabi nilang pinark yung ride nila sa biniktimang CRV (puhunan pala nila parking fee ). Wala bang roving guard, roving carwash boys sa Galle na makahalata man lang sa mga ito?

wala yan sa lolo ko...hehehe..years ago I parked my car infront of my ex-gf (now my wife) house. Tinawagan ako ng mom-in-law ko the next day bakit dalawa lang ang gulong ko. Thought it was a joke. When I went there naka kalso sa bato yun rear side ko. . Yun sammy ko ilan beses ko nakikita tangal yun rubber seal ng lock akala siguro nila nundun yun susian. for SUV with rear spare tire park with your back against the wall. wag na ninyong sundin yun, PARK FACING the WALL sign.
