I think that is only for roof racks.

Seems to me the rear bike rack replaced the ski racks of the 70s and 80s...

Mas mura kasi yang mga trunk mounted bike rack than the roof mounted ones.
Php 100 lang ang LTO registration ng roof mounted racks.

May office mate ako, biker talaga. CF yung body ng bike nya. Sa sobrang hilig nya magbike, he bought an everest just to bring the bike anywhere, including the office. Kapag ginanahan mag bike, park nya lang yung oto then get his bike and ride home to laguna. Papakuha nya na lang yung everest.

Walang bike rack. Baka manakaw yung bike eh. Nasa loob lagi yung bike.

ive seen a montero so new wala pa plate number.. pero basag na ang rear windshield.. when the driver came out i asked him what happend.. he forgot nga daw that he had a bike rack still on.. on sundays i see so many cars.. suv's with bike racks, some even have bikes on them goin up to tagaytay.. that just tells me they cant bike up to tagaytay.hehhe.. im a biker.but my bike fits into my starex van with out pulling it apart, that makes it fortunate i wont fall into this catagory like the guy on the pic. heheh.. funniest thing ive ever seen though is a toyota landcruise with a bike rack at the back. but just carrying a small bike for a child with training wheels.. hehehe..

Back when I used to bike regularly, I just removed the front wheel and placed it inside my Toyota Corolla with the rear seats folded down. No bike rack nor big SUV needed.
