I've been a long time postpaid subscriber of SMART and I've noticed since last year up to now that a lot of times (about 2 out of 5 calls) the first time someone rings me up I can't hear him/her. The second time they call I'll be able to hear them. Sometimes when I call someone he/she can only hear me when I drop the first call and make another one. A lot of my friends have had this problem on their SMART units as well.
Has anyone experienced this? Assuming a call is Php 5-6/minute and SMART has X million subscribers, that's a huge revenue stream from dropped calls.

ganyan din sa globe to smart or globe to PLDT landline...
first call you won't hear each other...
2nd call tsaka lang kayo magkarinigan ng caller...

it's not dropped calls ...
last week same multiple text messages received from wifey's smart. not a big deal if you're in the philippines but i'm here in brunei!

Well yeah not really dropped calls but wasted calls I guess. Re: pulse charging nope, it's still a minute for every fraction thereof.

I didn't notice if it happens only on the calls from Globe or Sun. Tingnan ko nga. At first I thought something's wrong with my handset.

I don't know about that. It's just annoying when it happens. Siguro yun nga, dahil unlimited sila the telco is trying to squeeze out more revenue from them. Question is, who's making money, Smart or Globe?
someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
