    Just a thought...

Mga 4x4 peeps... will driving with 4x4 engaged on the road destroy the differential?
The differential could be damaged or destroyed permanently if it is locked or engaged in the low range setting while treading on a high-traction surface like pavement. This setting is used only on very difficult and treacherous roads.

On the other hand, using the 4x4 mode with the central differential unlocked would be alright for pavements.

    The "Lemon" Ford Everest

We haven't heard from the actual owner's side about what is really wrong with their vehicle. But if their complaints is down to the ride being too rough, diesel engine too lethargic and noisy then there is really no cause for their complaints. They should have test driven an Everest before buying one especially since Ford is one of the most generous when it comes to having vehicles available for test drives. A bit naive on their part.

But if the complaint has something to do with defective parts or if the car is really a "lemon" per se (meaning it has serious defects which prevents it from performing according to the manufacturer's standards) then its another story.....

baka naman they were promised a limosine-like ride and range rover offroadability by the SA. even so, they should have test-drove it and validated the SA's claims first before purchasing the vehicle. based on what's written on the vehicle, mukhang normal lang yun sa everest. siguro kung nilagay nyang "laging tumitirik" or other abnormal behaviours e mas plausible pa.

sana bigay na lng nya sakin yng 'lemon' everest, kaysa lagyan nya ng spray paint around the body ... :D

Alam nyo, hindi nyo rin masi-sisi na different people have different levels of expectations. It's not a person's fault to have high expectations, especially for something worth P1.3 million.

If you have high expectations, you should make it clear in the first place. Kung gusto mong "perfectly matched" yung kulay ng pintura, tell it in the beginning. If the dealer cannot assure you that, then don't have it repainted or go ahead but don't complain later. It's that simple.

If you are very sensitive about driving comfort, demand a test drive. If they don't offer a test drive, then don't buy it. It's that simple.

Again, vehicles are VERY expensive nowadays. You can't blame people for having high expectations. But blame them for not doing enough homework before they bought their merchandise.

Lastly, we can't sound too protective of casa, espcially if you haven't experienced buying a lemon car before. If your ride turned out to be a lemon, I'm sure you'll be totally pissed as well.

Kaya nga Ford Everest eh, feels like you are climbing one of the highest mountains eh. Ikaw kaya umakyat ng bundok, hindi ba mabato at mahirap ang terrain. Joke lang po.

If i'm not mistaken, Ford Everest was manufactured in Thailand.

Don't know what the owner's complaining about. Leaf Springs do give a bumpier ride. Did he want Ford to change it to Coil Springs?
