Wag naman primo, masakit sa bulsa yan!

OT: Di pa ako lumilipat ng service center ever since, Bel Air is ok naman. Dami ba "sosy girls" sa global?

Re: automotive manufacturers + government .. hindi nga nila sinusuportahan ang automotive manufacturing kaya lumayas na Ford, malamang susunod ang Isuzu.

MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is studying a proposal to phase out outdated vehicles to address the worsening traffic in Metro Manila.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said the phaseout could affect vehicles that are at least 10 years old. He added, however, that there are no plans yet to implement a phaseout.

Tolentino said heavy traffic and problems on the road are mostly caused by motorists’ lack of discipline and not by the large number of vehicles.
First & foremost, buti naman at alam nya ang nawawala sa resulta ng kapalpakan ng gobierno. The problem is goverment is slow in constructing new roads if not stealing from those repairs being done. The result is easy to breakdown roads & poorly maintained. Now they look at age of the car as a control ? What ever happened to their coding scheme, palpak ba ito or ineffective at ginagamit na lang na gatasan sa mga motorist ?

Sabi nga ni chairman at ang kanyang analysis of the problem is only discipline, so what is being done about it ? Why go for car age when the problem is the driver ? Is he not thinking that his area of coverage is only valid for metro manila, so it simply mean's if your outside the metro, 10 yrs old are just fine. on what basis is the 10 yrs old causing traffic, meron ba cyang data that these are are slow, prone to breakdown, etc...so much so that he will target this as the solution to the traffic problem?

The problem with traffic is simply because we have officials in goverment that thinks like this guy. Or is he in cahoots with car manufacturers to sell more new cars???

If i were this guy, i will suggest to the maritime agency to dispose all ship beyond 10 yrs as our fleet of ships are all surplus 40 yrs above. You can include the Philippine Navy on that. But then again, that's not his business though more realistic & for safety reason.

    Hindi reasonable ang 10yrs!
Porke ba 5-10yrs ang ibang bansa gagaya na rin tayo?

Di hamak naman na magaling mga Pinoy sa pagaalaga ng mga sasakyan kumpara kung kanino man.

Pero pabor ako kung between 20-30yrs e phase our na, for traffic & safety reasons.

ok lang naman eh every 10 years palit ka ng car... but the government should shoulder the depreciation cost... the government will also handle the disposal of the car... there are recycling facilities that are buying scarp metal from cars..

watch nyo yung mega factories na about sa isang car recycling facility

Tamang-tama kasi kakabenta ko lang 94 Corolla namin Peo malabo matupad to. Mga 20yr old cars dapat siguro and dagdagan nalang bayad sa mga mapilit and mahilig sa vintage cars.

the correct solution should be all goverment officials must travel using public transport once a week for them to understand the root cause of traffic.

Eh, the extension of MMDA powers to the province started years ago, under the previous administration.

Tagaytay is always going to be difficult. Widen the roads and you'll be pushing landowners off the sides of the cliff in some places.

At least traffic there is mostly on weekends, when all those Manilenos traipse up to Tagaytay to drink coffee at Starbucks and block traffic to double park outside the churches.

When I go to Tagaytay on weekdays or Saturdays, I never have any problems.

Unlike Marikina... where traffic is gridlocked everyday, despite the ultra-wide roads...
