The integrity of our country's police force has always been questionable over the years, but here's another toast to them.
My brother-in-law's dad was rushed to a hospital last friday due to numerous cuts, bruises, and wounds. He had multiple lacerations on his face, his ear was disfigured beyond recognition, and he has a burn on his forearm due to it being in contact with a freshly fired gun.
Apparently he went into a restaurant to get some grub, when a frustrated cop (who had been arguing with his woman/wife/girlfriend) pointed a gun at him. He may have tried to wrestle the gun away from the cop - since in his own words "babarilin na nya ako", and the rest was a blur. The cop fired, but fortunately did not hit. The victim blacked out, and from the looks of his wounds, the copper used the gun as a club to mangle him as he lay unconscious.
At some point, the cop ran away due to the arrival of another pair of policemen.
It doesn't end there, though. Another couple of cops (who apparently are chums with the culprit) show up as well. Amazingly, the bullet and the empty cartridge are never found (though there's an ominous bullet hole on the floor, and the aforementioned burn mark, as well as witnesses claiming to have heard a gunshot), and everything is written off as a drunken brawl - in a place where liquor is NOT served.
The said cop is still at large.
bravo, PNP. bravo.

OT: if you happen to watch imbestigador yesterday, PI is far below the rankings of being a good coutry in terms of govt realistic and tangible vision, true that gms has a lot of promises and vision posted in giant tarpauline, tri media, yet in reality, there really isnt any positive improvements at all, if thera are any its barely noticeable.
now back to topic, if these policeman are at large, govt and real police agency must get hold of that insane police and put him behind bars, better yet let him suffer what he did...
another OT, if criminals are caught and put behind bar, who feed them? US, we still feed these criminals who are most liable to perish, imo, what the victim suffered is what the criminal must endure...and eye for and eye, though victims wont get a relief but the criminal must feel what mistake they committed.

I hope the eyewitnesses do not get harassed or intimidated by the chums of that bad cop. I hope the victim receives justice for the injuries that were inflicted upon him, and that all the circumstances related to the case are brought to light.

I saw this on TV last night.
Apparently, the witnesses are afraid to speak out since a second batch of crocs came by to "investigate"
The witnesses are afraid that the crocs will definitely know who will testify and bad things will befall them.
A visit by the reporters to the station where the drunk croc is assigned did not help any.
The issue was brought to the attention of the head of the PNP and he said, on camera, that the erring croc will be apprehended and "processed"
Whatever that means.
Let's see how this all plays out.

. . My 2 cents.

Too bad walang magandang alternative name sa pulis "Crocs" "Bwitre" bad Egg, Kotongero, etc... if they continue to perform bad as today even these names will be no longer appropriate for the kind of people serving the force in the future,. someday they will be simply called "pulis" with bad meaning of course....Sino kaya makakaayos ng masamang impression sa kanila... Wish list for them is to continue to reform for good.
C'mon COPS help yourself,.
