    MANILA, Philippines – A 25-year-old woman was raped by a taxi driver and his companion, who abandoned her at a subdivision in Angono, Rizal at past midnight Monday.

    The woman, a finance officer working in Bonifacio Global City, was found naked and hogtied in Nieves Hills, Barangay San Isidro, according to Inspector Glen Cuevas, Angono deputy police chief.

    The woman told police she boarded the taxi at the intersection of 5th and 26th Avenues in Taguig and asked the driver to bring her to her apartment in Makati City.

    When they reached EDSA-Guadalupe, the driver’s accomplice got out of the taxi’s compartment, Cuevas said.

    The woman said she was repeatedly raped by the two men, who tooks turns driving the taxi through Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Marikina, Antipolo and Angono.

    The driver and his companion took the victim’s bag, which contained her identification and ATM cards and P2,500 cash; her iPhone 6s and a watch, Cuevas said.

    He added that they are looking into reports that a similar incident happened in Makati City last month.

    di na bago yan, its the same thing na currently nang yayari sa mga dentist sa clinic nila at mga bahay na kunyari may hinahanap na kriminal yon pala mag nanakaw at rape kung puro babae sila...

    habang wala napaparusahan at di natatakot mga tao gumawa ng krimen because of our useless government eh patuloy lang yan at maging worse pa sa future if we don't select the right leader...

    parang illegal counterflow lang yan, may isa lang mag attempt at hindi mahuli eh lahat mag susunuran na...

    Police arrest ‘taxi driver’ accused of robbing, raping five passengers
    Published April 15, 2016 12:49pm

    Police have arrested a man, posing as a taxi driver, suspected of robbing five of his female passengers and even raping one of them, a television report said Friday.

    GMA News TV's Balitanghali said suspect Ricky Ramos allegedly steals taxi units and uses the same to get his victims who are usually call center agents in the areas of Mandaluyong and Makati.

    The report said Ramos had been involved in a previous robbery holdup incident for which he has a standing warrant of arrest.

    Prior to his arrest, the suspect was positively identified by his victims through a rogue gallery presented to them.

    Mandaluyong City Police Chief Senior Supt. Joaquin Alva said in a previous interview that the suspect targeted young call center agents.

    “Ito [Ramos] nangangarnap somewhere in Quezon City, Pasay, Makati. Then pag nagka-carnap na sya, mag-aano sya mag-aabang na siya ng pasahero. Usually pini-pick up niya mga batang babae, around 22 years old,” he said.

    He said one of the victims was able to record the license plate number of the taxi, prompting the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to look into the case.

    The LTFRB said the taxi was stolen a day before the crime took place, on March 18. The vehicle was recovered by the taxi company the next day, March 19. — Amita Legaspi/RSJ, GMA News
