On my way home last Feb 8, 2004 at around 12:30am, i came across a Baranggay patrol tricycle. The said vehicle was overloaded with about six passengers who had some plastic bags of beer and ice. Seeing as the said tricycle was travelling at a cheerful 10kph, i decided to overtake them.

When I got off in front of our gate, the said tricycle followed and one of its passengers got off. The guy, brother to actor/comedian Jimmy Santos, confronted me, saying "mayabang" ako and other stuff kesyo "mayaman" daw ako etc etc etc. The baranggay tricycle left.

The guy was drunk and just wants a fight. After several more exchange of words, he gave me a punch which hit me at the back of my head. I restrained myself, being the educated man that i am, and just warned him that if he did it again, well.....

So, being the cheap drunkard that he was, he gave me another cheap shot. This time, i anticipated it and blocked it. He pushed me back and again more words were exchanged. He approached me again and threw a punch. I again blocked it and then proceeded to give him a taste of his own, and hit him between the eyes. Being under the influence of alcohol, he was one tough nut to crack. After exchanging punches, the idiot threatened me "sasaksakin kita!", and seemed to be reaching for something tucked behind his pants. Of course, i got scared and backed off. Two of the people in the tricycle followed. They did not really participate in the melee and tried to restrain the man. But that's all they did.

The neighbors came out because of the ruckus and we were now plaing in front of an audience. My family and I are known as pacifists and educated people, while he was known as the neighborhood basagulero.

My Mom came out and Jeff/Jet (the idiot), backed off further while blurting out "Mayabang kasi anak mo". I did not want things to escalate further, as my dad (who also came out) recently had open heart surgery.

So when things got cool. I went to the local Baranggay and blottered the piece of ****. Then proceeded to a local government hospital for my medico-legal examination.

Question is, what should i do now? I have absolutely no confidence in the Baranggay system.

Pwede ko ba ipa-blotter sa PNP mismo? Is it possible to get a restraining order to keep the idiot away from me and my family. I dont even know this person, but he seemed to know a lot about me.

ps. Pogi pa rin ako. just a cut inside my mouth. hehe

First off, I hope you're feeling better now.

Can you state which baranggay the suspect and vehicle belonged to? I think you can bring this up sa Liga ng mga Baranggay or you can go straight to the RTC and file a criminal case against the guy who punched you.

I'm glad you did not let anger get into you head. Dapat cool lang talaga tayo.

***side note: Bakit masama ang loob ng mga tricycle kapag inoovertake-an? Dapat ba sila ang nasa harap parati?

First of all since yun tricycle is a barangay patrol, gov't vehicle yun dapat "For Official Use Only" eh may kargang beer sila d sabit na sila dun.. second sabihin nila nag-papatrol sila... nagpapatrol ng lasing? sabit na naman.... dami nilang kaso... Mag file ka ng kaso sa barangay then pa-blotter mo rin sa PNP

dalawa lang yan PK, either
1. labanan mo ng legal, hire a lawyer, bayaran mo yung judge, kaalisin mo sa baranggay yung bully

or

2. talk to the guy, makipag ayos, kayo kayo na nga lang sa baranggay ninyo tapos kayo pa nag uupakan na parang grade school.

Ganito po kasi. I live in Bgy Tabacalera. The tricycle belongs to Tabacalera. The idiot lives in Bgy. San Pedro. Kung saan daw yung kino-complain, dun daw sa baranggay na iyon dapat mag file ng complaint. I went to the San Pedro Bgy. Hall.

What's funny is, when I went to the Tabacalera Hall, IT WAS FRICKIN CLOSED. I went to the tricycle and touched the engine. It was hot and obviously recently used.

Im thinking of including the Tabacalera tanods in my complaint. The idiots didnt even try to help. an to think, parang accomplice din sila diba.

Kaya wala akong tiwala sa Baranggay system. The guys who were supposed to help me were the same people who drove that idiot who hit me.

I confronted Tabacalera's Bgy Captain, "Diba bawal gamitin ang government vehicle for private use? Lalo na pambili ng Beer?!" Wala, he couldnt even look me in the eye and he ignored my question. haaaay.

The great thing about this is, my assailant, i recently learned, has been in and out of prison due to drug related crimes. Kakalabas lang 3months ago.

Part of me just wants to let this incident go, but i know what is right. besides, if i let this pass, lalaki lang ulo ng lecheng yan and my family will be dishonoured.

At least when some cops pick him up he will now not to mess with me a second time.

Questions:

Is the barangay patrol tricycle belong to your barangay? If yes, proceed immediately to the PNP, to blotter & file a complaint.

Is this jerk a member of the barangay patrol or just friends with them? If a member, make sure that the report you have filed remains in the blotter and get a copy of your complaint form.

How do you want this resolved? If peacefully, have him apologize in front of barangay officials and make him promise/ swear that he will not disturb you & your family in the future (black & white).
If drastically (ala Goon Squad), locate his residence, post it every forum and the rest will be ....... Or get his cellphone number, you know what we can do to, right?

Or you could just shrug your shoulders and leave it to "karma". Sabi nga nila: "Makakahanap din yan ng katapat!"

i suggest you file the police complaint so you have the paper trail (at documented na siya ang aggressor)...but then leave it at that. take the necessary precautions to be able to defend yourself at a moment's notice (he sounds like the type to try cowardly sneak attacks), but just leave it alone.

The tricycle belongs to the baranggay. Sabi nung mga tanod na nagdra drayb, nakisakay lang day yung assailant ko (yeah right).

first get the name of the "kolokoy" tapos police blotter sa nearest police station. . . then file a formal complaint ! follow up the complaint, kunin ang pangalan ng officer in charge sa complaint para may person ka to follow up. If all else fails . . . .
