"Safety and Security" daw nila. Eh mas dumadami nga kaaway nila dahil sa pang-bully nila sa kalye.

IMm29, nice word: "corrupt cars" :D And their goons are very useless to protect them if anyone with skill wanted to "off" them. The real security you'd see are with the likes of the Ayalas. You'll see them going around as if they have no close-in security as they have foreign trained people discreetly keeping watch.

If you have any real threats, stealth is the way to go. I was in Tagaytay Highlands some time ago and there was this idiot who was going around that gated, well secured community with bodyguards all around him... papansin ampch and all the well heeled people around were actually sneering when they would see them pass by.

That would've been good to have that there. So you know whose attention you'll have to call, or who you'll complain about. Having that personalization though would probably bring on a new problem -- the LTO Plates supplier, who does not exist at the moment. At least with the 8, issue ka lang ng issue ng 8. Would've been a good idea for us mere mortals though.

May mga bodyguard yan around the vicinity... di lang sila nakikita. Mga expert yan, trained sa Middle Earth.

Ba't kaya nagkagulo yung mga guard? :D

Akala ko ba may mga counterfeit "8" plates? I could swear my cousin had one sa Lexus nila..

Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if it was somebody related to a congressman. Fill in the blanks nalang.. "the louder a dog barks..."

Onga dati, kita kung sang district at province ang mga buwaya. Palusot lang yung "security concerns" kaya tinaggal.

That "8" plate is a symbol of abuse talaga.

    OT: I saw nung May a sweet S-Class sporting a "7*D" plate...kay Baboy Drilon? :D

Thankfully, mas-conscious mga politicans here in Metro Manila ever since the Ampatuan disaster. The Ampatuans were considered untouchable at the height of their power. Buti nalang nagka-national coverage yun massacre but it should give you a picture on how it is sa Philippines. It's not democracy but really just defy-me-and-die autocracy.
I guess a lot of political families are inspired by Joseph P. Kennedy eh. :D All over, it's common to see offspring of elected and appointed officials already trying to find their way into politics. With things going that way, from the time of our grandparents to our grandchildren, names of those in power will hardly change. No offense to your friend but the thought that as early as now politico families are already grooming offspring for the Presidency shows that political clans just cannot relinquish power anymore or see their elected positions as a monarchial birthright, and all we can hope for is they evolve for the better. My opinion with the Estradas though, you will never know how it will be after Erap moves on since it's Erap who really holds the clout with the masses.

With all these (GMA, Ampatuan, CJ Corona, et. al.) cases, do expect political personas to wisen up all the more with how they run business and launder their money.

Security check on JZA. But stealth -- well trained and well equipped stealth -- is the way to go for REAL security.

Yan ang tunay na security. Discreet but ready at a heartbeat. Some of the best marksmen and hardened Mindanao veterans i've encountered doing the security beats for some high risk personnel before were very quiet, and unassuming people.
