July 30th, 2012 12:21 PM #1Hi All,
I would like to ask lang for suggestions on what should I do regarding what happened to me last Friday night.
May traffic enforcer nakakita and he agreed na kasalanan nung F150, mukhang di ako nakita nung driver. Nagmamadali rin kasi kami pareho and umuulan pa.
I talked to my friend sa insurance at sabi niya pabayaran nalang yung pariticpation ko which is 2,500. Cost of repair around 3,500 sa labas (sa casa 4,900++). When I told this sa driver ng F150, hindi daw siya magbabayad ng 2,500 kasi 1,500 lang daw pagawa nun. Then now ayaw na magreply at sagutin calls ko.
I only got the plate number, name and mobile no nung nakabangga.
Thanks in advance.

Pwede ata ifile mo as hit and run at ibigay mo plaka tapos yung insurance mo na ang maghahabol dun sa nakabangga sayo.

It is always advisable to have a police report on any car accident. Car insurance requires it. If the other party does not want to file a police report, that is his decision but better get all details from his drivers license. Better yet, let the police officer hold on to his license until the police station. Never believe any promises made on the spot because once you leave the accident area without a police report in hand, you will be in a powerless position.
If the other party really wants to settle the accident's cost... he has to pay you on the spot. As the saying goes, in God we trust but all others pay cash.
Also, if you have a camera or phone-cam, take MANY clear pictures of the accident from many angles as proof to the police and for the insurance company report as well.

Can I file a police report and declare it as hit and run?
