seriously madami ganyan lalo na if youre backing up into sa road shempre daan ka muna sidewalk... yun iba nakikita ka na umaatras tatakbo pa ng mabilis

Only in da philippines. One time din sa malate area umaatras ako slowly at may guard pa nag aasist, all of a sudden there was this bunch of korean or japanese guys na tumawid and nasagi ko ata ng konti yung isa, nagalit at pinalo yung spare tire cover ko sa likod. Ginawa ko hinintay ko muna kung lalapit(mukha kasing mga yakuza hehehe). Tapos bigla kong hinarurot ng paatras para tumabi, naduwag naman ata at umalis nalang sila.
Sometimes it pays to have a backup sensor installed, it saved me one time nung paatras ako may little old lady na nakatayo sa likod ng suv ko and hindi talaga kita sa side mirrors and even the rear view mirror, nagtataka lang ako bakit beep ng beep eh wala namang tao o object sa likod, gulat nalang ako nung makita ko sa side mirror may old lady pala na umalis(apparently na sense nya na nag baback out ako)

Happened to me before, matanda rin ang nagpumilit tumawid kahit a third of my car's already touching the street. Hinayaan ko na lang.

old ladies have poor senses. so siguro pabayaan na lang na'tin lalo na pag menopausal stage pa heheheh

hay naku madalas yan. pero in fairness hindi lahat nakakaalam kung anu yun white backup light. Ang nakakainis eh nakikita ng umaatras ka nakikisingit pa. Galit pa pag nalapitan ng auto....haay pinas talaga.

just want to share with you fellow tsikoteers what transpired with me a few moments ago: (i don't even know if this should be in the goon squad section )

anyway, this happened in the parking area of Jollibee Tandang Sora.

as I prepared to back-up, I first looked at the side-mirrors then sa rear-view and finally, I looked back. as I prepared to back-up, I saw from my left side an old lady walking hurriedly. as she approached my car, nagulat siya bigla tapos kumatok sa vehicle ko. take note: kumatok siya while my vehicle was in the midst of backing-up so in motion na ako.. but when I heard the knocking sound, I immediately stepped on the brakes.

she then went up to the driver's side and knocked furiously on my window. I brought down the window and was taken aback by what I heard.

"are you looking when you're driving?!", she hollered. then this was followed by a tirade of remarks accusing me of neglecting to see her.

"huh?" I was surprised by the whole thing and since she was an old lady, I could only stammer, "but I was looking the whole time!" yeesh.. parang pinapagalitan ako ng nanay ko.

since ayaw ko na makipag-away sa kanya and protest my innocence in this matter, lalo na kasi matandang babae, I decided to apologize. "look I'm sorry, ok?" but mind you, I was already in motion when she chanced upon my moving vehicle and decided to knock.

"I hope you're sincere!".. napakamot na lang ako ng ulo when she said this. *sigh* sana naman huminto na lang siya or napansin naman na may umaandar na sasakyan sa harapan niya. nakakainis kasi I know that it wasn't my fault but I just had to let it slide.

Sana sumagot ka "Are you looking while you're walking?... Do you know what the white lights on my car's ass end mean?"

Ah, old lady pala... can't do that in the Philippines heheheh.

Yan ang isa sa mga kultura ng Pilipino na hindi ko maintindihan. "Wag kang sasagot sagot mas nakakatanda sa iyo iyan". I dont see the logic behind this and this is out of the issue. Para sa akin ang tama ay tama at ang mali ay mali. Kung mali ako hindi talaga ako makikipagsagutan pero kung tama ako di kita sasantohin. THe only type of people I will never have a heated argument with are mentally incapacitated or mga halata namang ulianin na dahil matanda na. Of course they could not think rationaley anymore.
