dami na akong naririnig na katiwalian sa mga post office natin pero pinaka notorious daw talaga iyong central mail exchange center (cmec) sa pasay city

malupit ha! ang tigas ng muka nauna pang buksan sa pinadalhan hehehe. share ko din experience ko sa Quezon City Post Office, yesterday may pinickup akong cellphone case which i bought online sa US so siningil ako ng 40.00 pesos lang pero pagdating ko sa releasing "beware of this guy" may hikaw na nasa 5'6 or 5'7 height tapos mukang mayabang na may mahabang silver na necklace na ang pendant ay singsing. tapos nasa may belt nya yung susi ng kotse.

irere-lease nalang yung item ko humirit pa. binully pa ako sabi first time mo bang mag pa ship dito? sabi ko oo sabi nya may tax ang mga inoorder online etong sayo 70$ may tax to pero dahil first time mo papalagpasin kita sa susunod may bayad na to ha. sabi ko ok! "sa isip isip ko loko loko mo di na mauulit to. kapal ng muka ni ungas eh parang may utang na loob pa ako at pinaglagpas nya ako

it's ok to pay the tax but to tax the shipping along with the US tax is ridiculous. asked the for the guidelines for the computation and i never got it... all the old woman said was "Hindi naman sa amin ito mapupunta!"

and yang ginagawa nila an bubuksan ang packages old news na yan. ngayon lang na kunana ng cctv kasi ngayon lang nagkabit ang post office.

heard sa news the woman in the video already worked for 23 years sa post office. madami na nadukot yan.

Hahaha kilala ko yan! pati nga yung Free CD ng linux gusto pa taxan bukod dun sa 40 pesos na babayaran. kawawa yung kasabay ko dati nagpa dala ng electronics, kinausap pa kunwari yung supervisor pinaparinig na mahal babayaran pagka electronics.

pati sa post office sa lawton ganun din.... ilan beses kami nagpadala ng package, meron mga package na hindi dumating...

actually not limited sa post office natin yan... kahit private carriers may mga ganyang issue... yun last na package namin from kenya hindi dumating... TNT yun carrier... luckily we dont send packages that are important... usually mga damit lang or pagkain kapag pumupunta si ermats sa mga lugar na remote....

I'm not surprised with this. A few years ago, I had some vehicular LED bulbs sent to me via post, the package arrived but notice arrived really late. As in, I was at the final notice already without even receiving the first two. Anyways, I go to claim the package and lo and behold, the whole box disappeared! Now I don't ever send things through post if I can help it. I just route it through the US and have it brought back when someone comes back from a visit or something. It may take a while but less hassle.

As for the taxing, I agree it's OK IF the taxes are correct. Problem is sometimes, they're NOT! Sometimes they quote some ridiculously high amount. Then they'll say something like, if you ask for a receipt you'll pay X amount, but if don't ask for a receipt, you can have it for Y amount." Y amount being a fraction of X amount which will probably go to them (them being customs and post office people).

But if you get on their good side or are a frequent visitor, they just hand you the package or open it as a formality but that's it. So it's kind of a crap shoot.

Sa post office may mga nakapaskil na notice na ang pwede lang nila i-tax ay items above $100. Usually pag dumadating ang parcel may declaration naman ng value from the sender.

sa tingin niyo ba "random" talaga yung pag bukas ng maleta before you leave the airport? na-markahan na ng customs yan sa loob kaya alam na nila which to open before you leave.
