    My got this email:

or go to this link if picture does not show:

    http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ankletter1.jpg

It has logo and stuff to look authentic...but since it fell automatically into the bulk folder, we had doubt.

When we visited the recommended site...we were prompt with a "choose your country" and after choosing Philippines, the site had this

or go to this link if picture does not show:

    http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...tibanksite.jpg

well, well, well it was asking ALL the things that citibank warned us - That they'll never ask for the ATM pin, the 3 digit security code and user ID & password.

    Obviously a bogus email!

ingat lang sa mga links to websites when giving away personal informations (SSNs, CC Nos, etc) lalo na kung galing sa email. Kung di ka nag apply then just delete such emails. Lately, may mga emails that says you have won bidding an item sa eBay tapos yung link sa button says it goes to somewhere else (not eBay related site). ingats sa viruses, etc.

Man, that's one of the oldest phishing scams... meron na yatang update sa bagong Firefox that marks most of those "phishing" pages with a warning.

Each day, someone is getting his/her 1st credit card. They are a few of those who could be victimized by these scams. It's good, that warnings like these are shared occassionally to educate/warn new card holders. (and remind old cardholders as well)

    Ang tagal itong ginagawa.

Dapat patulang ng Citibank yan, ang trace the beneficiary. Parang entrapment ba.

The link will tell you you're not at a Citibank site. If you only hover over the link, the true URL will appear in the status bar.

When you receive something like that, type the URL as seen in the email, don't click on the link. And see if it's authentic.

Banks will never ask you to post your credit card, billing address, and CVV because they already know it.
