Napansin ko lang yang mga tinted plate covers after reading this thread and true enough, yesterday while driving I saw an innova with tinted plate covers.

Nung papalapit kami sa kanya, I read his plate as *VM, di masyadong kita yung taas because of reflected light and shadows. When we got nearer, *DM pala.

Could this also be true for non-tinted acrylic plate covers? I don't know but I intend to find out. Observe pa ko ng ibang vehicles... acrylic kasi yung sa min e.

This is the recommended cover for protection...Deflector with SST frame and screw all around...Very elegant tignan but of course pag marumi na o kupas na eh dapat na ding palitan...Actually it's a bit pricey ranging from 1.2k to 2K...

Yan ang advisable...sa palagay ko! meron kayang manghuhuli kung ganyan ang plate cover! definitely not....ganyan din gamit ko for plate protection. That is a clear polycarbonate with SST frame...

I don't think the clear plates are the ones being targeted by this operation.

It's just those with tinted/angled plates.

Never been pulled over for having a plate cover (using the same ones as the ones shown in the above pic) and I don't think I ever will, as long as hindi lumabo yung loob.
