I dont think its ok. the clear cover will impede somehow the reflectivity of the plates.

Most of you will bash my post pero I don't really know the logic behind the plate covers and/or tilting holders. Never had them, and probably will not need it

-Iwas dumi/fade: My Rizal plate circa 2006 still looks new. protip: isama lang sa lilinisan every car wash
-Porma: find it cheesy. JDM 'yo!
-Iwas nakaw: found out that my rear plate is hanging by a single screw for a year or two, wala namang sumubok magnakaw (and i sometimes park at risky places)

I know some of the reasons why others (or most) buy the tilting ones:
-Iwas coding
-Iwas huli sa overspeeding
-Lesser risk of identification to others (read: madali maka-bully)

a relative has one on her car because of the "looks" factor, along with chrome and chrome. also have another relative na sa clear cover dinidikit yung registration sticker dahil di alam pano tanggalin yung deflector brand na cover.



the question is what to do with my clear plate covers. buti nalang eto yung type na no need tanggalin yung plates para mabaklas.

I would understand the banning of tinted covers but clear covers? I have one to protect my plates from dirt and fading since we normally keep our cars for at least 10 years. I paid P1,700 for my plate cover and I have not even maximised it!

And the primary reason I have it is to protect the sticker. But since I still don't have my 2014 sticker

Good for you. Those plates released in 2003-2004 fade after a few washes. I don't know with the ones now.

Hmmn yes forgot to include this, na observe ko to sa first gen Vioses, probably sa paint/material na ginamit? Meron rin namang plates from that series na still looks okay now without covers though.

One time sumakay ako sa Hilux ng kaibigan ko from Bukidnon to Davao, yung plate cover nya sa harap eh halos Manyak-tint level na hindi na talaga makita even a few meters away, hinuli kami pagpasok pa lang ng Davao warning pa lang naman

next election tumakbo kang senador at gumawa ka ng bill kung manalo ka na pwede ang plate cover. kung dito ka sa tsikot magdadadaldal walang mangyayari sa reklamo mo.

BTW pag nangampanya ka sabihin mo na yung agenda mo sigurado marami kang makukuhang boto ng mga pro platecover.

Agree ako dito. Hindi kaya pwede sundin muna bago tayo mag react or reklamo?

Hirap satin mga pinoy too much freedom kaya ang bawal nagiging bawal lang pag nahuli ang ending kanya kanyang diskarte/palusot.

Bawal or hindi yun lang dapat, wag ng lagyan na bawal lang yung ganito pero pwede yung ganito dun nagugulo eh nagkakaron ng iba ibang interpretation.

To standardize it? Yes! Sana lang i-implement talaga.

Isama na yung mga naghahariharian na naka commemorative plates, bunch of self righteous pricks. Hulihin and confiscate.
