Hello Everyone,
Just in case this topic is not appropriate in this subsection, please just transfer it accordingly.
Facts:
1) We are in Micronesia, near Guam (Pacific Islands), consisting of Federated States of Micronesia (islands of Chuuk, Yap, Ponhpei, Kosrae) and the Marshall Islands. There are thousands of OFWs around here as well.
2) The Philippine Embassy in Palau has the jurisdiction in these area;
3) The Philippine Embassy in Palau will close on July 31, 2012, and old passports other than E-Passports will not be honored by other countries e.g. US by 2015;
4) There is a need to convert old passports to E-Passport and conversion requires personal appearance.
5) Before the Embassy closes, representative from Palau Embassy including the Ambassador will be coming to the islands to process passports; Below is their itinerary, that they will be island hopping from Marshall(Majuro)-Kosrae-Pohnpei-Chuuk(Truk) for the services. There are 3 persons taking this flight and costs $2,048/person.
THEY ARE ASKING THAT WE PAY OR REIMBURSE THEIR AIRFARE?????? Is this government service?
I once worked with our Government and we are provided by our costs of transportation and per Diem expenses. I really feel sorry for our Kababayans here if they will be asking for a fee on top of the $60 passport fee, they are mostly carpenters / dressmakers which amount can help their family already.
Anybody would like to comment or send this complaint to DFA. I have email correspondences showing that they are asking for reimbursement for airfare.
Below is our NEW itinerary for mobile services:

Do you know any working emails from DFA? I was looking for the DFA secretary's email but apparently its not on their website. If you can tell me a working one, I am very glad to send this complaint. I sent it also weeks ago to the Office of the President and i did not get any response.
