No Plate, No Travel Policy

no hindi siya takaw huli. i go to makati everyday for the past 5 weeks and never ako sinita. i think may memo na wag sitahin or accept delivery receipts. =)

^ Not so sure nowadays. Pero last month lang din ako nagkaplaka. Araw-araw ko dinadala sa makati yung tsikot ko since November 2009 na walang plaka. Wala namang huli. Pag pinara/mahuli ka, better to have these documents:

1. Sales invoice with the Sales Date within the 7 days grace period. So kung sabado mu nakuha yung tsikot mo, good invoice pa yan 'till Friday (correct me with the count).

2. Kung lagpas ka na ng 7 days grace period at wala pang plaka from LTO, they will issue a Letter of Authorization. Which is good naman for 30 days from the issued date. (Tanungin mo ito sa Sales Agent mu).

Salamat po sa reply mga sir. Dami ko kasi nababasa dito sa tsikot kaso puro contradicting yung mga info regarding no plate policy. Thanks for clearing things up.

Kanina sa Ortigas meron, mga naka commemorative hininto din, may malaking karatula sa road saying that there's an ongoing implementation of NPNTP...

Sakin lang, dapat lang talaga gawin yan, yes, madaming PUV na dapat din huliin, yes madaming Govt vehicles na guilty, but kung walang plaka ang private o gumagamit ng comm plates, dapat din mahuli.

Confirm ko lang... Is it really ok to drive around without plates for 7 working-days from the date of release of a new vehicle? What if sinita ka then, what do you show the PNP that the vehicle is still within the 7 working-day allowance?

How about yung mga 95-96 corolla na naka-US version ( extended ) bumpers na hindi kasya regular plates and usually they resort to folding it para magkasya. As a result , hindi na kita yung last digit.

Penalties should be bigger for those who do not display their plates correctly. May plaka na nga sila pero di naman alam gamitin ng tama.

There are people who would rather disregard the law just for the sake of making their vehicles look good.

yung mga Ford E150, hindi rin kasya local plates. dapat inspection din muna ng government agencies concerned ang mga locally sold vehicles kung magconform sa standards ng philippines bago i-allow na maibenta dito.

Few years ago the front plate was loose nabali yung screw, so I put it sa dashboard. While driving, pinatigil ako saying di daw pwede yun. I said kakabali lang nung plaka at wala ako sa bahay nun when it happened pero ayaw parin. Pumigil sa akin had "PSG" I think (I forgot na, matagal na yun pero it reminded me of Presidential Security Group or something similar). Pwede ba yun? Sa Welcome Rotonda ako nahuli, papunta ako UST nun.

Ticket, kuha license, etc. Late din sa klase ko. Am I glad to be out of the country (among other reasons)...
