I was followed last night

Hi All!

I was followed last night by a black, new body (GY?) Nissan Patrol with plate number ZEG 114.

I started noticed the Patrol as I was entering PhilAm village in Las Piñas, it was following too close for comfort. Especially on speed bumps like he didn't want me to see his license plate.

I exited the village, entered another and he was still following really close. I then rounded a corner into a dead end street and the Patrol did a u-turn and waited at the entrance of the street, probably waiting for me to enter a house or something. It was at this point that I decided to confront this person and backed up my rig towards the Patrol.

I guess he realized what was going on and as I was almost to where he was, he drove away quickly and tried to run. Luckily, traffic was on my side and his progress was delayed enough that I was able to catch up to him as he re-entered PhilAm.

I tried to take a photo of his license plate but he had on a tinted plate cover and everytime we tried to do so, they would step on the brakes so the brake lights would cause glare and it would be difficult to take a photo. His passenger kept looking back as we followed.

When we once again exited PhilAm, they saw that Alabang-Zapote was clogged and they just pulled over while continuing stepping on the brakes. The driver then turned the cabin lights on. I stopped close enough to him to take a photo (not the best quality but better than nothing). I'll post it later once I download it from my phone.

After a few minutes there, I was expecting them to get out or something but they stayed in their vehicle. This being the case, I decided to go on my way but I informed the security at each gate of what happened and they all took note of the incident and license plate. As I pulled away and made a u-turn, the driver and passenger were still looking at me. I could not get a good look at their faces and could only see silhouettes.

This is really disturbing and given the fact that elections are near, I'm considering on dusting off the weapons cases and acquire a PTC. I would not like to fund anyone's campaign against my will or contribute to a cop's side line.

Can anyone help identify the owner of the Patrol?

Hindi carnapped ung Patrol, I mean when I checked with LTO (text LTO VEHICLE ZEG114 to 2600) okay naman no alert daw. And the description fits.

sa palagay ko TS may masamang intensyon nga yung sumusunod sayo..carjackers now use hi-end cars para di suspicious.

thank God na lang na may presence of mind ka, kung sa iba yun baka nagmadali pang makauwi at lalong matunton ng bad guys kung saan ang bahay nya.

kung may dala ka sigurong baril that time habang sinusundan ka at pinakita mo ang silhoutte mo cocking the gun...baka umatras yun ng 80kph

Ingat nalang and dapat report mo kagad yan. Tingin lagi sa mirror kung may nakasunod and dapat pabago-bago ang usual routes na dinadaanan mo and dapat familiar ka sa mga pasikot-sikot and park in such a manner that you can pull out rather than back out.

Kidding aside, buti na lang sir at napansin mo kaagad kung hindi baka lalo pa kayong napahamak niyan. And, halatang may intention sila dahil sabi mo nga, very close ang pagsunod not normal for normal drivers who has intentions and, every time na kinukuhaan mo plate number, nagbbrake for the break lights to glare.

About dun sa LTO, nope hindi siya reliable, meron dito mga tsikoteers na nanakawan ng kotse pag chineck sa LTO, no lto apprehension no lto alarm ang lilitaw.

hmmm...siguro may friendship route sticker iyong patrol for it to go in & out of the gated villages here in lpc - delikado nga iyan kasi mas maraming prospective victims. relatively carjack/carnap free pa naman ang las pinas at present. i sure hope this won't be a sign of things to come

I drive a 98 HiLux. And as far as I know, I don't have any enemies that merit this kind of response.

There you go, the plot thickens. In order to be prepared for the worst, I wonder which would be better, .45 or 5.7?

Update:

The guards at the village said that the guy is renting a house in the village along the main street parallel to the dead end I turned into. Since the main street is wide enough to do a u-turn, heck even a duce and a half can easily do a u-turn there, I don't see the reason why he had to do it in the entrance of the dead end street. Also, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited for him to leave after his turn, which he didn't unit I backed up my rig.

So why run instead of going to his house? He was following me and not the other way around. Very strange right? Who knows, that house he rents could be used to house kidnap victims for all I know.

The guards are keeping a close eye on them now and regularly patrol the area in front of our place now. Still, I'd like to be prepared in the event things turn out for the worst.
