February 13th, 2008 10:31 AM #1This morning, on my way to work. I saw 2 things that made me shook my head. the first one is a ford ranger pick-up with plate number CSG 622. I have been observing the way he drives since I am just commuting and I am in the bus. The pick up is occupying the fast lane.
Medyo mahaba pasensya ko sa ganyan since some cars dont accelerate that fast, pero napansin ko na he is not even gaining an inch dun sa kasabay nya sa katabing lane and yun lane nya is sobrang libre so it means hindi sya nag-oovertake. angdaming kasunod na sasakyan na busina na ng busina at nagflash na ng ilaw, ayaw pa rin bilisan nung driver.
im pretty sure alam nya na madaming sumusunod sa kanya pero he just kept to his speed. and im pretty sure that it was just 70 to 80 kph ang takbo.
the other thing that made me shook my head is a sub400 cc bike. Im pretty sure it is a sub400. it was an mntc bike. meron pa din pala sila nun. i thought mga bmw na bikes nila sa nlex. may kasunod na mntc patrol. they are occupying the outermost lane.
ganun na ba talaga ngayon sa pilipinas? if you are an authority you are exempted from laws? mntc does not allow sub400 inside nlex but they are using sub400? akala ko ba concern nila ang safety ng rider eh bakit nila pinayagan na gamitin ng tao nila ang sa tingin nila eh hindi safe na sasakyan sa loob ng expressway?

Once a year lang ako lumabas ng NLEX / SLEX pero as long as hindi traffic I just pass them yun nga lang after honking my mitsuba or airmaster para matesting na rin:insomnia: 100-110 na nga lang ako eh aabalahin pa nila

Actually they are not calling the innermost lane as the fast lane. The are now calling it as an overtaking lane. So after making an overtake, move to the 2nd inner most lane.

February 13th, 2008 04:38 PM #10well whether im on a bus or driving my own car, this is the usual case. actually wala na talagang fast lane sa expressways. yun leftmost lane is for overtaking only.
my only gripe eh alam naman ng driver na may pile up na sa likod nya, bakit hindi pa nya bilisan since pinantayan nya lang yun ibang sasakyan sa ibang lanes so walang makalusot and napakaluwag naman nung unahan nila! mahirap ba yun bilisan lang nya ng konti tapos pumwesto sa unahan nung sasakyan sa kabilang lane or kung talagang road haggler sya eh create a space for the other vehicles to pass through.
I dont drive a fast rig but i make sure na kung mapupuwesto ako sa fast lane eh malayo yung kasunod ko para may time ako makapag-accelerate at maunahan yun dapat ko unahan.
kung maxed out na yun ranger eh ok lang pero im pretty sure na sa 80 to 90 kph lang yun since the speedometer of the bus is still working. and basing also from the speed of the different vehicles sa ibang lane, pretty sure ako na hindi pa sagad ang takbo nung ranger
oo nga bro. 80 kph for vehicles is pretty low.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
Traffic!
