Nakita nyo ba ito sa TV Patrol? Niratrat na, disabled na yung mga "carnappers", then hinila pa ulit palabas ng kotse, at pinutukan pa ulit sila, at close range!

Grabe, trigger happy mga pulis natin.......

    Shootout or Rubout?

Three suspected car thieves were killed in a police operation along EDSA in Quezon City Tuesday night.

ABS-CBN News was able to capture on video the final minutes of the operation, which authorities said began in Mandaluyong City when police spotted and pursued a vehicle reported stolen last month.

Police claimed the suspects opened fire on them forcing them to fire back.

But the footage captured by ABS-CBN shows several policemen firing their weapons inside the suspects' car at close range.

The footage was shown to Human Rights Commissioner Leila de Lima, who said the police violated rules of engagement.

"Jesus Christ!...This is very disturbing and highly questionable in our viewpoint," de Lima said after seeing the footage.

"This is potentially a case of excessive and blatant violation of operational guidelines," she added. "Ano na nangyari sa mga human rights education and training namin all these years for the PNP?"

As of posting, Quezon City police district deputy director for operations Federico Lasiste said they have yet to see the footage.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Ronaldo Puno said it will take several weeks for forensic investigations to be completed, but he stressed it was a legitimate encounter.

Meanwhile, the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) will investigate last night's shootout amid allegations it was a rubout.

Grabe talaga!

I think its a rub out of sorts. The alleged carnappers might be linked to some political or police official. Hence if they are caught, it would lead straight back to that person. So to stop it, the alleged carnappers were shot dead before they can tell the press or anyone else who they are working for.

Presumption of innocence and rules of engagement are not mere words that should be taken for granted. They are there to protect innocent civilians from abuse. Hindi kasi napaparusahan yung mga sangkot sa overkill before (Paranaque shoot-out, Kuratong Baleleng, etc), kaya marami pa ring parak na akala nila Diyos sila.

IMO, malabong shoot-out ang nangyari. It was a crowded area, dapat may nadamay na civilian or collateral damage from wayward bullets. At yung tumakas daw na driver, mahirap ding paniwalaan. Iniwan yung kasama dun sa loob ng kotse. Baka asset ng mga pulis. Usually, kung tatakas kayo, sabay-sabay.

Thank God we have a pro-active CHR under Atty. de Lima. One of these days pag ganito ng ganito, we could fall victim to these trigger-happy cops, kahit inosente tayo.

wow! and most likely walang mangyayari sa moro morong imbestigasyon.

well kung talagang masasamang tao yung pinatay nila, they deserve it din. kaso hindi nga mahuhuli yung bigger fish. ang scary lang talaga if basta basta lang sila nandukot ng inosenteng tao to be used as fall guys or worse, random selection sila ng 'suspects'. so kung gigimik tayo na panay lalaki sa sasakyan, medyo mag ingat at iwasan ang suspicious behaviour.

At least to some actual U.S. videos, kita na handcuff lang, or even rushed to the hospital yung disabled na na suspects. Ang labo ng actions ng mga local police na ito. Not even a chance given to the others to surrender, be hospitalized, or even to clear their name.

If these suspects really knew the car they were using was stolen, why did they not change the plates first? There may be another story behind this. Malay nating yung isang "nakatakas" lumantad to tell their story, only maybe, the true story about the incident.

If you see the video, it really is disturbing but we dont know the whole story of the incident. Maybe they have their reasons. Lets just wait for the whole investigation.
If this is a rubout, those involved must suffer the consequences.

hell yeah i saw it...i'm no expert in criminology, hell, i don't even watch CSI , pero the way na tinad-tad yung civic from the back, the 'police' didn't give the suspects a chance to even say 'sh*t let's get the f*ck outta here..' the police basically made sure it was head or upper body shots to try and end it quickly..but when it was seen there was still one suspect left still breathing, they made sure he wouldn't make it to hospital.

i'd say this was a rub-out...come to think of it i don't think there was any footage showing the suspects even had any guns in the car to actually prove they were at least armed...plus one of the reports from the police who made the constroversial shot, claimed that 'he shot the suspect because he was still moving'...did this cop stop to even think the suspect may have been moving to put up their hands up to try and surrender.....you crazy, trigger-happy mo-fo!

don't know lang, sobrang labo ng storia talaga
