The mere fact that the dog isn't tied (leashed) or caged already puts everyone around it in danger. When it attacks you, you have every right to defend yourself.
If you have a gun, shoot it. It's just a dog. It's not worth your safety and peace of mind. You can also whack it with a bat, dead center on its skull and it will never bother you again.
If you poison it within their property, they can take that against you - if you get found out.
Well, yes, that could work. Wag lang makita or may maglason sa aso at baka mapagbintangan ka.
it will make the dog sick but more than likely survive it. to reduce suffering of the dog, use zinc chloride. it only takes a few meters where you baited it and it's gone. you can get this from farm supplies, made by bayer, leverkusen germany. if it is not available locally, use a generous amount of soldering paste having zinc chloride flux.
nasabi ko na ito before, put several fishing hooks inside a hotdog then feed it to the dog...dog will suffer and die a painful death. either it hook inside mouth or intestines...
i'm reminded of this movie(forgot the title) with Christopher Walken as the lead bad guy. He was relating that there was this noisy neighbor's dog. He killed and fed the owners to the dog. :shocked2:
Dunno if there are dog whistles available locally. Kung wala, pepper spray. Not really an expert on it, pero me isang klase kasi that you spray on the assailant's eyes...di tulad nung nabili ko dati, teargas ata :p
It's commendable that you are finding other nonlethal ways to deal with the situation. i can tell you this much, for a lot of people there isn't a moral dilemma here: where you and your family's safety is at stake, pasensiyahan tayo. If you(your neighbor) is not willing to solve the problem, then i will solve the problem.

if you want to resort to legal means then have every incident recorded in the barangay or the police blotter and then file a complaint based on Republic Act No. 9482 (Anti-Rabies Act of 2007)
Sec. 11. Penalties. - (5) Pet Owners who refuse to put leash on their Dogs when they are brought outside the house shall be meted a fine of Five hundred pesos (P500.00) for each incident.
btw, about carrying an airsoft gun in the car, baka sitahin ka ng pulis, pagkamalan ka pang holdaper. imho pepper spray, taser, dog whistle, etc. are primarily defensive.
An effective way for loose askals is to completely ignore them. Dedma lang. Once the dogs sense and feel that you are not exhibiting fear, aggression or threat, they will stop picking on you. Especially nakikita nila that you are doing your usual routine going in and out of the neighborhood, soon they will acknowledge you as part of their so called "territory."
why don't you just be civil with your neighbor. regaluhan mo ng dog chain. its insulting to being a dog owner and gives a message at the same time. Kung ganun padin, tamad na yun katulong nyan na itali yun aso... is time to take some action.
I would rather just use tear gas or pepper spray. The dog will get the message after one or two doses.
That is so true. My friend's neighbor throws objects at their cars whenever they park across the street (offending neighbor's side) I found out about it because I parked my car there and my friend asked me to move it. There aren't a lot of cars that park on the street so I don't see why the neighbor is acting so territorial. I find the act so barbaric esp from someone who lives at an exclusive village in Makati.
tanungin mo yung mga lasinggero sa inyo kung gusto nilang magpulutan ng aso sabihin mo na ring hinahabol ng aso yung mga anak nila tignan mo sila ng gagawa ng paraan![]()
