October 22nd, 2010 10:51 AM #1I was just wondering if may unwritten code ba ang mga motorcycle drivers. I was on my way to work yesterday when I noticed na unusually traffic yung isang area. Nakita ko na may banggaan pala doon sa isang u-turn slot na involving a taxi and a motorcycle.
I was heading straight, so nakita ko na nasa sahig pala yun motor nas nabangga. Di na ako masyadong naki-usi sa kanila para tignan on whose fault it really is, pero just a few meters after the accident area, ang daming motorcycles na talagang tumigil at bumababa sa motor nila para puntahan yung accident (siguro mga 10 yung nakita kong nakahinto).
This made me think of the accident that happened to me more than a month ago. May naglokong motor na gumewang sa harap ko so I needed to brake hard and stop, fortunately I did not hit the bike in front, however, may (malamang na) mabilis na motor sa likod ko na hindi umabot sa pag-brake at tinamaan likod ng kotse ko. Lumipad yun driver sa sahig at bagsak motor nya. When I got out of the car, dami ring mga motor na nagsipag-hintuan. Nung malinaw na yung motor ang may kasalanan (kasi kinampihan naman ako ng motor na nasa harap ko na tumigil sa gitna ng kalye) at may traffic enforcer na dumating, nagsi-alisan narin itong mga ibang motor.
I wonder if they have an unwritten code ba kasi pagnagkaka-banggaan feeling nila sila lagi ang agrabyado kasi motor lang sila at naka-kotse tayo. And do they really plan on ganging up on you because of this?

October 22nd, 2010 10:59 AM #2there's a chance na they may really care for the condition of their 'comrade'. pero i believe most of the time mga usisero lang talaga mga yan kasi wala naman silang way para madala yung victim sa hospital unless galos lang ang injury. they just have the means to stop and look kasi feeling nila di sila nakaka sagabal sa daan. same as pedestrians or bystanders. kung naka ibang sasakyan yan i'm sure babagal lang sila at sisilip.

Simple and plain usisero.. Naka motor sila, pwede sila huminto, tumabi ng basta basta because they dont occupy much space unlike cars wala ka choice kundi lampasan na lang sila gustuhin mo man umusyoso..

In some cases they stop to help fellow bikers. Ang nakaka-inis lang is they tend to think it's the cagers fault always.

October 22nd, 2010 11:15 AM #7I don't think they're really there to help, maybe one or two, but I would think most of the time they're there to "help" point the blame on the other party. Kasi if they really intended to help (at least in my case), inasikaso nila dapat yung naka-motor na lumipad sa bike nya. I think there was only one person who actually help the guy at pinaupo sa tabi, but yung iba, nakiki-usi lang muna sa usapan namin.

October 22nd, 2010 11:59 AM #9Nga pala, pansin ko lang nun nag banggaan na at may enforcer na, hindi na tumitigil mga motor. Yung sa experience ko nagsi-tigilan nung walang traffic enforcer. Yung nakita ko kahapon, parang fresh pa yung accident at wala ako nakitang enforcer nagsi-tigilan sila -- parking their bikes occupying the leftmost lane after the u-turn slot (although hindi ko nga talagang tinignan gaano because my interest was to get out of the traffic jam).
