medyo radical measures na siya, pero just think naman: matigas tlga ulo ng mga ibang tao jan eh!! desperate scenarios call for desperate measures!! discipline is the key to success, esp in this country!!

THE METROPOLITAN Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will push through with its "wet cloth scheme" next week to keep hardheaded pedestrians off the roads despite mounting opposition.

MMDA chairman Bayani Fernando said they would start deploying sound trucks and mobiles with wet blankets beginning January 17 in Metro Manila's major thoroughfares.

When asked if Fernando coordinated with the mayors regarding the new policy, the MMDA chairman said, "There is no need to do so."

MMDA Traffic Operations Center Executive Director Angelito Vergel de Dios explained that the trucks, where the wet blankets would be "hung like flags," would warn pedestrians first before "wetting" the more hardheaded ones who would refuse to stay in designated areas.

Vergel de Dios said they resorted to the new scheme after failing to keep commuters from blocking the roads while waiting for public transport.

sa una nakakatawa ang "wet rag scheme" na yan. but if you think deeper kabastusan yun mababasa yung tao, probably madudumihan yung damit, male-late sa trabaho and/or worse magkasakit pa. there are other things na pwedeng gawin i believe BF can come up with a better idea. but i agree with him that to discipline the drivers you also need to discipline the passengers.
