Yung iba g*go kasi talaga, yung iba naman baliw and they have these wierd consipiracy plots in their heads kesyo may lalason sa kanila, etc.

Nagbigay ako ng piso dati. Di pa sumasara bintana ko, binato ulit sakin. Akin na lang daw!

Kaya hindi na lang ako nagbibigay totally.

Alam ko bawal magbigay sa naglilimos e. I mean pwede ka huliin ng pulis for that. But the thing is they should get rid of the beggars. Yun ginawa sa akin yan before sa Rizal Avenue where they left a soap patch sa windshield, nakakaasar talaga, but then it reminded me to keep my temper down, i mean i can always wash the soap away pero sila mas malaking problema nila.

Yup same here... effective so far.

actually nangyari din yan sa akin. bagong carwash pa ako. so binuksan ko bintana then sinigawan ko yun bata, natakot at tumakbo. sa SM centerpoint banda yan. mukhang dyan nga ata ang tambay ng pipitsugin nilang sindikato

don't give alms... most of them are members of syndicates... I've seen a few being dropped of by their masters... or commutting in packs to their "work place".

try giving regularly to world vision instead (P450/month only):
    http://www.worldvision.org.ph/

at least you know where your money goes... your sponsored kid will even corresond to you and you'll get updates on what is his/her status.

though minsan, kapag matanda at nakaka awa na talaga... I give food.

Isang favorite spot din dati ang sa Katipunan-Boni Serrano... got inured to the sight of them because halatang sindikato... that place is very far away from most squatter's areas, and parating may bulag doon... at nagbabago pa yung bulag na nandoon every week... nakakaduda.

But I can't help but feel for some of those people forced into that life. We had a special student at one school (deaf-mute) who had to do that every day after class. Imagine his teacher's surprise when she saw him on the streets and still in uniform! She scolded him and told him to at least change first!

Remember, for every "walang kuwentang" beggar out there, there are actually another two or three that we don't see who are actually in need and are trying to dig out of that hole. But better to give to organized charities and public schools (they really need our help... some of them are no better than slums!) than to give to the ones on the street... so as to encourage these kids to go to school instead.

EDIT: hehe... naunahan ulit ni M2... okay nga yung worldvision... but also try to see what you can do for public schools in your area... just don't give stuff that will tempt some of the unscrupulous employees there to steal it...

Yung mga nasa Ortigas alam na alam mong syndicate-run... same group ang rotation nila eh, hehe meaning, the same 2-3 beggars will rotate between the intersection of Meralco/Ortigas - Shaw/San Miguel Ave - Julia Vargas/Meralco etc...
