Medyo late na ito. Pero nakakaasar kasi. Pasensya na kung ikukwento ko pa.

The front license plate of my commander's Starex was stolen somewhere in Manila. Getting a new plate is an inconvenience but it was no problem. In the meantime I had Tsikoteer Baiskee (he's good with graphics and stuff) make me a temporary license plate that I could print and display. He did make me one, and it looks like the real deal right down to the Rizal statue in the middle! But on the bottom, I had him write "TEMPORARY PLATE WITH PERMIT" instead of "PILIPINAS" since it was only a temporary plate. I put both plates in a Deflector plate protector to deter any future theft. Btw, the duplicate was placed in the rear for better weather protection.

Now for the rant. During the whole time it was using the temporary plates, I can't believe how many times the vehicle was chased and flagged down by the police (more than thrice I think). Why? They have to verify the vehicle's documents daw BECAUSE THE TEMPORARY LICENSE PLATE LOOKED TOO GOOD! Damn, what kind of crap is that. One time, my commander was on board when the vehicle was flagged down. In her disgust, sinigawan niya yung hagad: "Eh, gusto ko maganda pa din! Kesa naman pentel pen at bond paper diba!" Hehehe. Labo talaga ng mga pulis dito. Daming walang plaka at mga hindi mabasang temporary plates, yung gawa ba ni Baiskee ang pinag-iinitan.
