October 3rd, 2007 03:01 PM #33Personally I am against those who use plate covers, be it clear or tinted, ang dami kong nakikita na ganyan, nde ko mabasa yung plate number, baka mamaya ma hit and run ka pa ng ganyan, tapos pag gabi nde rin yan mabasa kasi nde maayos yung pag reflect ng light

Even it’s clear, greenish pa rin ang dating nyan and it will really affect the reflectrorized coating of the plate esp at night. Kaya nga reflectorized siya and weather proof - no need to place inside a housing. Kanya-kanyang preference lang talaga. Personally, okay lang walang glass dahil lagi ko pa nalilinisan unlike kung covered.

The colored plate covers have been deemed illegal for quite a while now, but the implementation of such a violation is not strictly enforced. Coding is actually more strictly enforced.
Sorry to hear about your violation, but your plate covers are actually colored, even if perhaps the color might enhance the numbers.
