hi fellow tsikoters my friend had her hyundai sante fe park at manila hotel parking, she was there at said hotel for 2 days, she had to park her car at the valet parking of manila hotel, when she check out of the said hotel she noticed her windshield has a crack its about 6 inches long.. so she spoke with the valet parking rep and informed that her windshield has a crack, she informed that when she got there 2 days ago she has no crack on her windshield and the valet parking rep informed that she should get a police report, the question is that the manila hotel should be responsible for the vehicle? now my friend is wondering how much would cost her for a new windshield, if she will go to casa or find a surplus windshield for her ride..

just a heads up if you'll be ever go to manila hotel make sure that you keep on eye of your vehicle..

Just a question, diba usually if you park your car in a certain establishment be it self parked or valet parking, Meron silang binibigay na ticket or card for you to claim you car which mostly meron note na hindi sila liable for any missing or damage sa auto niyo. If so, walang pananagutan yung manila hotel since inaccept nung owner yung condition by leaving his/ her car with the valet attendant. Tsaka, mahirap ata icomplain yung mga ganyang bagay unless you have proof na upon leaving your car 2 days ago sa valet parking, walang crack sa windshield yung auto.

There's already a case decided by the SC which says that inspite of the disclaimers printed on your parking ticket, the owner of the parking premises must prove that it wasn't negligent in parking your car if it sustained damage. This includes having adequate security, having valets who are properly licensed, selected and trained in operating a vehicle, etc.
