Blue Boys na Nanghuhuli Kanina sa Buendia cor Paseo de Roxas Makati

Guys alam nyo ba kung anong business nitong mga to at nangpapara sila ng mga kotse sa Buendia cor Paseo de Roxas area?

Dumaan kasi ko kanina dito around 11:30am. I stopped at the red light dun sa corner na yun, then nung nag go, nakita ko sila dun medyo maraming pinapara. While I was passing, isang mokong na naka blue was flagging me down. Heck, I did not stop because I couldnt have possibly done any violation coming from the stop light. Meron din silang mga kasamang yellow boys so sa tingin ko legit yung panghuhuli-dap nila. Note hindi MMDA yung mga blue boys. Meron silang initials sa may sumbrero nila, hindi ko lang nabasa ng malinaw.

Ano kayang ginagawa nila dun?

Haha Cathy you turned right from paseo to buendia on red? Buti pinalampas ka nila. Merong no right turn on red na sign dun.

Cant figure out why they are flagging me down. Hindi ako huminto baka mabungo pa ko nung mga nasa likod ko. Ogags talaga.

I was flagged down yesterday around 6pm on the same spot, along Buendia, EDSA bound, just after crossing Paseo. I was in my CRDI Carens at that time. Stopped my car a good 50 meters past him, turned on my hazard light and waited for him to come to me.

Traffic Enforcer (TE1): Sir, lisensya nyo po.
Me: Bakit po? (emphasis on the "PO" para medyo magalang ang dating)
TE1: May violation kayo Sir eh.
Me: Ano po yung violation ko?
TE1: Ah, eh,, (Sabay tingin dun sa kasama nya na nasa likod ng kotse ko na parang nagta-tanong ng: ano nga ba violation nito?).
TE2- itinuro yung tambutso ko. (saw his gesture via my rear view mirror)
TE1: Boss, smoke belching kayo.
Me: in a sarcastic tone of voice: ako? smoke belching?
TE1: yes sir, smoke belching kayo.
Me, again in the same sarcastic voice: baka itong kotse ko ang smoke belching, di ako.
TE1- umiling & ngumising aso.
Me: boss, bago lang itong kotse ko, imposible naman na smoke belching.
Then I revved my engine to 3k rpm and said:
Me: ayan oh, wala ngang usok eh, amuyin mo pa, amoy langis ng niyog.
At that time TE2 approached and said in a sternly manner:
TE2: Sir, nakaka-istorbo na po kayo sa daan.
Me: in my most poker-faced impression: Baket? Ano ba talaga violation ko?
TE2: Medyo pagalit pa: Sige na umalis ka na, makulit ka pa eh!
Me: in my ngising-aso face: thank you ha!
Then I waved to them as I slowly speed away.

minsan talaga may nanghuhulidap dyan. pati sa magallanes meron din. halos araw araw. paglampas ng overpass ng edsa. north bound ng slex. "smoke emission testing daw". every sat naman sa c5 kalayaan intersection northbound. dami nilang pinapara pag napagtripan nila. mga suma sideline.

*Cathy, I guess iba yung nanghuhuli sayo. Sa may paseo de roxas sila nanghuhuli. Yung nag flag down sakin, sa Buendia sila nakapwesto. Pero baka related yung 2 groups na yun. Hehe.

*Shadow, hell yeah. Why in the world they would be flagging me down kung smoke emission test sila. Hindi naman mausok kotse ko. Kakarehitro ko lang last month, pasado ko sa emission test. And karamihan nung mga pinara nila ay cars. Sobrang alanganin pa nila pumara.

There are a lot of reasons why they flagged you down, namely:

Tinted plate cover...
Expired registration...
No seatbelts...
Commemorative plates...
Etc...

It's pretty much pointless to ask US why they are flagging you down... if they gave you a ticket and believe that you have done no wrong you can contest it at the MMDA Adjucation Board and even report there if was an attempt to extort money from you.

If we expect other motorists and traffic enforcers to be courteous and law-abiding we should with ourselves.

Sorry this thread is not meant to ask forumers why they are flagging me down I know no one would know and its pointless unless we have madam auring reading this thread. It was not my intention to create a guessing game thread as well.

Im just asking what are their business and who are they because it seems like they are flagging down every car they have on sight. The situation was pretty unusual.

This could also serve as a warning to other people passing that area.
