They robber could have used a tall vehicle. Double parked behind the AUV and then did their work. Few minutes and they're gone.

Mapa-fortuner, innova and the like.

if your spare tire has chains around it already then probably they might have used a bolt cutter to cut it. my advise is if you have brought for another spare, have it brought back again at any toyota casas, kase they have a solution on it without using any chains. what they do is they install a bolt about 15mm thick welded on your innovas frame/chassis na pag-nilagay mo na yung spare tire mo, sakto sya dun sa isa sa mga bolt hole then you will put its corresponding nut tapos mayron syang lock na de-susi na similar sa ginagamit ng isuzu crosswind.
this what my friend have done nung nanakawan sya ng spare inside his own garage sa antipolo. incidentally iniwan nya kase yung innova nya dun for 3 days then after pag-balik nya wala na yung spare nya. when he has already bought a second hand one which he bought in batangas st. near blumentritt complete w/ tire. punta sya ng toyota para i-complain na madali nga nakawin yung spare nya. tapos yun ang ginawa ng toyota. yun din daw ang ino-offer ng toyota to other owners na ganun ang case according to the s.a.

May ready made na ganitong lock, Solex ang brand. Designed for pick up trucks.
Had to drill through the chassis crossmember, though. Pero it wasn't that hard to do. At least secured na. Mahirap gamitan ng bolt cutter kasi yung susian lang halos ang kita when you're lying underneath the vehicle.

TS, wala bang alarm yung Innova mo?
Or super bilis yung pagkalas nung spare tire, kahit may alarm, bale wala na.........
Someone suggested that few years ago. Yung C5 daw opposite direction. ...
