If I found myself in a similar position as the TS, *kurt02:

* I'm trying to use the overtaking lane to overtake a couple of slow moving vans
* Another vehicle who followed suit (overtake the slow moving vans) is honking me and flashing blinding lights at me

Yes, similar to Kurt02, I would move out of the way as soon as I clear the slow moving vans with concern on my mind that the guy behind must be in an emergency situation. However if the driver, after I moved to the outer lane, lingered beside mockingly giving me quick glances and shows that he has no intention of really moving ahead, then that would do it for me as well.

I totally dislike racing on public roads but I would probably bleep the throttle just a bit to release a little bit of that stress the other driver bestowed on me. I know saying those is bit contradictory and probably has that tinge of hypocrisy but just like Kurt02, I'm just human and have my own tipping point.

Best to stick to just facts, and avoid unnecessary interpretations.

When the monty slowed down, he/she might simply be admiring the TBZ or the driver. ;) Or driver was warned by the wife to slow down as there might be children on board. Many possibilities, not the only one you think of.

The quick glance, it doesn't automatically mean he's daring you to a race. And no need as well to look at the other driver, he might think the same that you're the one daring him. So one misinterpretation leading to another misinterpretation.

So, best to just let him overtake, and when you have the space and timing, overtake as well without bad feelings. No need to do an "angas for an angas".
