He didn't shoot because there were witnesses. Pulling out a gun will make him look like a bully, he did seem like he was trying to defend himself. We don't know how it started, most likely EGO prevailed. "I drive a Mercedes Benz, have a gun & a badass knife". He just didn't expect that the taxi driver had a badass attitude also. He must've assumed the taxi driver would cower in fear.

Sometimes it's just best to walk away knowing that we're in the social media age and practically everyone can record anyone in full HD. Anyway, it's hard to judge since we don't know the whole story but oftentimes it's public perception that wins.

In fairness totoong karamihan ng taxi driver na nakakasalamuha ko sa kalye ay g*gong magmaneho. Alanganin cut sa lane mo ng walang signal, counterflow, gagamitin maling lane when turning right on an intersection, snake driving.

Pero kung hindi rin lang ipuputok ng Mercedes driver yung baril sana di na niya nilabas. Napasama lang siya. Weapons are meant to be felt, not seen.

Taxi drivers, as a stereotype, are typically idiots. Sadly this is a situation wherein two idiots converged. We didnt get to see the accident on video but its obvious it's both their fault. But the ML driver is a bigger idiot for showing his gun, and if it's illegal, he can get jail time.

and to everyone saying that dapat di hinarangan ni merc boy yung taxi at bumaba siya para confront ang taxi eh hold that judgement muna till you hear the full story. kasi what if kaya pala hinabol at hinarangan ni merc boy yung taxi is because na hit and run siya nito bago mag start ang video. just imagine yourself in his situation, your dream car that you work really hard to buy suddenly gets hit then the guy who hit you eh bigla ka tatakbuhan di mo ba hahabulin? tapos pag habol mo you go down to confront him and make him pay for the damages he did makikita mo bumubunot ng kutsilyo and since bumunot ng kutsilyo then malaki ang chance na sasaksakin ka niya. di ka ba bubunot ng baril non kung meron ka. actually swerte nga ni taxi driver eh di siya pinutukan agad at tinutukan lang siya. i'm not saying that's what happened pero possibly lang na ganon nga ang ng yari.

Usually for "self-defense" daw ni mamang taxi driver. Pero baka ginagamit pa yang kutsilyo na yan sa pang-holdap ng mga pasahero ni mamang taxi driver. Kung bawal ang baril na di lisensiyado, lalong bawal sa mga PUV driver ang may patalim. They should stick to their GI pipes & dos por dos if they really need something for self defense.

Based sa commentators sa bus, sinuntok ni merc driver yung window nung taxi before manong waived his knife.

Mukhang nasugatan yung merc driver sa window, tas parang sinasabi nya sa manong na nadali sya nung knife.

He's all show. If he didn't intend to shoot the taxi driver, he shouldn't have brought it out. Wala, show of force lang. Typical bully. Laki ng katawan at dalawa pa sila against a middle-aged taxi driver. He just likely wanted to act out his boyhood fantasy of pulling a gun out on somebody.

Pro-gun ako but I have zero tolerance for these kind people.

Mali kung mali yung taxi but I think a traffic altercation is never a justifiable cause to escalate the situation into a gun fight.
