Badtrip na memo ito bumili kami ng auto last may nagfile kami ng application para sa special plate ang sabi hold daw muna tapos nung nag open ulit ang application biglang may memo na ganito. Pano naman yung bumuli ng jan to aug ng sasakyan ang tagal naghantay tapos naglabas ng memo kalokohan talaga ng LTO

Its simply silly for LTO to abruptly do an about face and do an "automatic assignment of plate numbers" especially when in the past 16 years or so they have been allowing new vehicle owners to pick the end numbers.

I think this scheme is designed to significantly increase LTO's coffers (with room for the usual kickbacks for the staff) and it will allow for even more corruption in the lower ranks who will take advantage of the numbers coding predicament by accepting bribes from new vehicle owners willing to pay such, to be able to pick end numbers just like before albeit in a more clandestine manner.


LTO should make things faster, easier and simpler. Don't make things more complicated and too onerous, since this is where corruption and bribes will come in to grease the proverbial wheel.

Am i reading this right? 3 letters 3 numbers for 15k? So i can choose not only the numbers but also the letters? So di lang pala yung 3 alpha - 2 numeric ang pwedend piliin. If i choose XES 888 yun ang ibibigay nila, XES 888?

Yes, you'll have your preferred combination as long as it's not taken. Previously though may additional premium yung combinations with the number 8. Not sure kung ganon pa rin.

Yung 878, i paid 3k for it 3 years ago. Yung 721, i paid 8k 1.5 years ago. Kung alam ko lang na pwede din pala ang 3 alphas pinili ko na din.

686 dapat gusto namin before, 3k din hinihingi nung dealer. But they werent able to provide. Then they offered 626. Ok na din. Libre pa hehe

madali nila (enterprising officials in the agency) sabihin na wala silang backlog thereby they can produce special numbered plates (for the right price of course!) anytime they like, binulong lang din sakin yan...

I also hope that in clearing this so-called backlog, ma-implement na nila soon yung new format. Long overdue na ito eh, dapat nung September 2013 pa. Tsk.

878 has that much fee? I just asked our agent to get a certain number combo and I think we just paid 1.5k. There's a high difference in price between choosing just the numbers and the one that includes the 3 letters.

Isn't it before its around that same price already?
