LBC along Dona Soledad in Pque - BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

This branch is the one beside PNB and almost fronting Sinangag Express along Doña Soledad Ave. in Betterliving, Paranaque.

I'm really not fond of having to go to a mall just to have things shipped (considering SM Bicutan is closer), so talagang sinadya ko pa dun para mabilis.

Upon arrival, I presented my item (a car capacitor) and agad-agad itong attendant nila eh humirit, "Sir wala pong box?", reply ko, "wala eh." "Sir, kailangan kasi mabalutan 'to kahit sa mga gilid lang. Try niyo po humingi ng pangbalot sa motolite (tabi nila)." So, okay, confused to why they needed their customer to ask another shop for something they SHOULD be able to supply, I just complied, asked the shop beside them, and got some styrofoam's enough to cover the capacitor. Now, where could I get some tape? Went to them, showed what I got, and said, "Sir di pa po pwede yan eh, kailangan pa po pati ito at ito, kasi po Sir baka po madaganan Sir ng mga yun (points at numerous big boxes with Phzer labels on them)", then I asked, "Wala ba kayong box at tape diyan? (noticing na may mga boxes na LBC mismo ang tatak)", reply? "Wala Sir e. Try niyo po sa Tropical Hut (jeez)."

Already had my fair share of expenses that day, so instead of heading to Tropical Hut, sinadya ko pang bumalik ng bahay para lang maghanap ng kahon at packaging tapes (wow! customer pa ang nagpapakamartyr para sa LBC!). Fortunately, may kahon, pero onti lang ang packaging tape. So ultimo electric tape na pang-wiring ko sa kotse kinonsumo ko pa para lang masiguradong di gagalaw sa loob ng kahon yung capacitor (which is yung sabi ng attendants dun).

So, balik ako ngayon dun with the box and the item immovable, pero after all my attempts, humirit na naman after checking the box, "Sir kailangan pa rin po nito (bla-bla-bla-bla)"... DI KO MAGETS! Sa galit ko inagaw ko na lang agad sa kanya at sinabi ko "Sa iba na nga lang! Ang gulo niyo!", nagreply pa ng "sige po" - hay! Buti na lang nakalabas ako dun ng di na uli nagbuka ng bunganga. First time uminit ulo ko sa shipping! Nakailang pa-ship na ako before at wala namang ganung balot-balot pa, normally may kahon namang available kasi sa outlet na madalas kong pinapadalhan at sila pa mismo magbabalot para sa iyo.

Eto ako, risking a late in my appointment and looking for another shipping coy along the way. Eto, LBC uli sa may Bangkal, Makati. Sabi ko subukan ko nga dito kung matinong kausap yung mga employees nila.

Pagpasok na pagpasok ko dalawa lang silang naka-mano dun, pero bati agad pareho ng "good afternoon Sir!" Totally pantanggal inis sa kabilang branch. Then sinabi ko ipapaship ko sana yung capacitor nang hindi binabanggit na galing ako sa isa pa nilang branch na ang gulo kausap. Tinignan ng attendant, "Sir ano po ito?", reply agad ako "capacitor lang". Then chineck yung item and sinabi, "Sir, baka po kasi mabasag ito (pointing to the small glass parts of the capacitor), baka po kahit lagyan natin ng fragile eh may chance pa ring mabasag" --- hay di sana kung yan sinabi ng magaling na branch nila sa Dona Soledad e di sana malinaw usapan!

So tinanong ko ngayon, "ano pwedeng gawin?", then ayun, inoffer sa akin, kung gusto ko raw ipa-balot ko ng plywood yung package, bayaran ko na lang daw yung contact nila sa katabing tindahan. Um-ok ako. After a while tapos na, then pagbalik saken ni-retape nila yung gawa ko and dinagdagan ng styrofoams pa - no added charge. Sila ginawa ng kusa yung sa kabila ako pa nagsilbe sa kanila. Tsktsk..

In the end was able to send my package. Pero sobrang disappointed ako sa branch nilang yun. Sobrang baliktad ang mundo sa kanila! Hay...

You can call 2Go at 5287136, they'll pick it up from your house at no extra charge.

BTW, 2Go is soooo much cheaper than LBC. for example, in metro manila, i sent a dvd, with LBC, it cost me 240. with 2Go, only 80+.

Hay... ultimo pala presyo lugi rin ako.

Well... pambawi na lang siguro saken is at least napadala in one-piece yung gamit.

Yeah. never had a problem with 2Go. even sent apple laptops to mindanao one time. all good :D

Of all the couriers, LBC ang pinakabulok! Sila rin yata pinakamahal maningil. Kung ako ang magpapadala ng items, never akong nagpapadala sa LBC kahit sila na yung pinakamalapit dito sa bahay. And lagi ko rin sinasabi dun sa mga magpapadala naman sa akin na hwag sa LBC. Yung next day delivery nila, umaabot ng 3 days! Kadalasan ako pa ang nagpipickup sa branch nila para makuha ko agad yung package. Walang kwenta talaga LBC!

No surprise about LBC.

Had this funny experience last July when I had to ship a brand new LCD monitor as a gift for my niece there in Manila.

Me: Ship ko tong lcd pc monitor sa Manila. How much?

LBC Manager: Yan ba? Kailangan nyo i-wrap yan with styrofoam and into another box.

Me: But this is in the original OEM shipping box, complete with styro, plastic, handle box. Di po ba pwede to?

LBC Manager: Kahit na, kailangan manigurado po kami kasi baka mabasag when handling.

Me: Ok, so pwede po ba kayo na ang mag-wrap according to your requirements?

LBC Manager: Busy kami eh, maghanap ka nalang ng styro tsaka box para dyan. (then turns his attention to the next customer)

So I strolled out and took my business to Air21.

Me: Can you ship this to Manila po, as is?

Air21: Yes sir, no problem.

Me: Kelan kaya dadating to dun? Marikina ang destination.

Air21: Tomorrow morning po, guaranteed.

My package arrived at exactly 9:00am in excellent condition according to my niece.

Yeah, Air21 is pretty good too. Just had a prob with them shipping a dozen ipods. gusto ba naman i-drain ko yung batt. lol.

So i took it to 2Go. They shipped no prob. Even gave me a box for free. Pero sometimes I ship with Air21.

So i took it to 2Go. They shipped no prob. Even gave me a box for free. Pero sometimes I ship with Air21.

Noted... charge to experience na lang talaga. Hay... 2Go at Air21 na 'to sa susunod. What about XEND kaya mga Sir? Meron din kasing malapit samen na outlet e.
