    Note lang: Sobrang bait ko usually sa mga customer service personnel... I know they take a lot of heat from things na wala silang direct control... BUT...

    Nawala ko card ko last December, actually mga Nov ko pa iniwan sa house kasi ayoko dalin sa wallet (impulsive buyer sometimes)... Then mga after xmas I realized di ko na mahanap, baka natapon or nasisik somewhere.

    So I called them for a replacement, sabay upgrade nadin to gold... Sabi mga 1 week ang delivery. OK fine.

    2nd week of Jan may pumuntang messenger sa house, nag doorbell.

    Sinagot ng wife ko, at that time tulog si anak, eh malakas doorbell namin. Di naman nagising...

    The messenger asked kung dito ba bahay ni David Tong, sabi ng wife ko "oo, sa Standard ba yan?"

    Sabi nung messenger: Oho, andyan po ba sya ngayon?

    Wife: Wala eh, nasa office sya.

    Messenger: Check ko lang mam, 233 ba yung number ng bahay?

    Wife: Hindi, 23C Mali ata natype dyan kung 233.

    Messenger: Ay, mali address, di ko po pwede iwan...

    Wife: May mga statement ako ng mga card nya, pwede na ba yun?

    Messenger: Sige ho mam... (wife gives a copy of old statements, mali din address 233 din nakalagay but I've been receiving statements for the past 2 years sa address na to - Messenger looks at it and compares)... Parehas nga po mam, pero di ko pwede iwan dahil iba address...

    Wife: So ano na nga, iiwan mo o hindi?

    Messenger: Di po kasi talaga pwede eh...

    Wife: Sige ok lang, sabihin ko pa-ayos yung address, salamat... (walks back into the house)...

    Messenger rang the door bell again!

    Messenger: Pero dito po nakatira si Mr. Tong? Kasi mali address eh.

    Wife: Oo nga, diba pati statement nakita mo na?

    Messenger: O nga po, pero mali address, mapapagalitan ako kung iniwan ko.

    Wife: Kaya nga sabi ko tatawagan ko asawa ko para maayos yung address, iiwan mo ba o hindi talaga? OK nga lang kahit hindi eh...

    Messenger: Mali ho kasi address... inulit lang... (Wife shuts door and told him not to ring again..)

    So my wife called me right after (Jan 5 ata or 8) and I called SCB customer service.

    I told CS what happened and the bading guy apologized. He asked for the correct home address and I gave it to him...

    I asked if pwede sa office address ko nalang padeliver para ako mismo tatanggap and sure na may tao sa house... Sabi nya pwede... Hiningi new address ng office, so binigay ko. Inulit pa nya for confirmation... Told me within 7 working days... Fine..

    After 7 days, I called again kasi wala pa... This time, sabi sakin ng CS the card was returned due to the first incident and kakarating lang so they won't be able to send it until tomorrow. (So basically di din nila papadala unless I called!)

    Tapos sabi sakin, I can't request having the new card delivered sa unconfirmed address (new office) dahil yung address sa system dun pa sa old company ko in Makati... I need to send/fax a copy of my office ID with office address daw bago maprprocess.

    Why didn't they tell me that nung una????

    Sabi ko forget it, just send it sa home address... So hiningi nya ulit home address ko... I gave it to her...

    7 days have passed (today), wala padin yung card... I called back... The usual name, bdate, phone num etc... He asked for my office number and cell phone, so binigay ko yung office (914xxxx loc xxx)

    Guess what, di daw inupload yung request to change my address from 233 to 23C... Dapat daw may tumawag within 24 hours to confirm the correct address, sabi ko walang tumawag... Ampucha...

    So sabi ko, maaupdate mo ba ngayon? As in ngayon gawan mo ng request at update yung address? Sabi nya opo sir naka update na as we speak may tatawag sa inyo within 24 hrs.

    Sabi ko, "OK salamat, just to confirm lang, anong number tatawagan nung CS for confirmation? Anong office number tatawagan nila? (remember my office num is 914xxxx)...

    Sagot nya... Eto po, yung office number nyo... 899xxxx

    Uminit ulo ko... Sabi ko "Ayan sinasabi ko, di kayo nakikinig, oo lang kayo ng oo... Tinanong mo kanina phone number ko sa office, binigay ko, tapos ngayon ibang number ang sinasabi mo, mga 2 years na ako wala dyan sa makati office na yan eh!"

    Nagpalusot pa sya na kinoconfirm lang daw nya etc etc....

    ARGHHH!!!!

    Thought about that but sayang unused points and credit limit ko dito...

    Tagal nadin sakin to eh, mga 7 years or so...

    Makatawag nanga sa BPI ulit hehe.

    sir!! tubig? Pero nakaka badtrip talaga ngyari sanyo.... Time to change to a new credit provider.. mag uunahan pa yan sir... lalo na malaman nila current credit line nyo... hehehe

    buti na lang hsbc and diners mabait naman. no problem. except for citibank ha. kaaway ko mga taga citibank. hehehe

    Team lead ko dati na double-charge. Ilang taon nya atang tiniis na may charge pa rin kahit nireklamo na nya. Kulit pa nang kulit ang Standard Chartered hehe.

    maraming card company ang naghahanap ng clients ngayon... you can try hsbc afaik mabilis silang mag process

    Yep mabilis silang mag-process. Mabilis din silang humingi ng pera. Kahit di pa activated may charge na agad.

    Edit: I'm not pointing at HSBC ha? I'm referring to a local bank
