Seems that this makes for a good case for having an embedded/implanted microchip that emits a unique encrypted key in the presence of a specific signal emanating from a chip reader. Something like the RFID but more robust.

A sticker can be removed & transplanted.

A simple self-destructing sticker (if removal is attempted) will be enough for this.

Nothing "high-tech" is needed.

yung "original" na pajero pinara for verification...maybe check for "wangwang" and blinker. DUn din sa same area pinara yung "clone"....nagtataka lang ako at napaisip...co incidence lang ba?kasi sa laki ng metro manila dun pa magkikita yung 2 sasakyan....

Earlier whilst spending the day at Festival Mall, Alabang. In the car park, I recognized a plate from an old shape Rav4 which use to be the plate of our old 1999 civic which we sold 2 years ago! How can this be?!

This is very disturbing. Di mo alam may clone na pala yung ride mo, what if the clone is involved in something bad (kidnapping, murder etc.) na sama ka pa sa mga suspect.

Just wondering since we sold the car 2 years ago, could this have any reprocussions for me?

Was kinda shocked to see it on another model car. It wasn't tinted out very dark (front had no tint) and had a very visible sticker: ABS-CBN PRESS.

then try to check with LTO if your old plate number is still the plate number for your old civic. if not, report to local police.
in that way, may previous record of reporting na. kung may mangyari, hindi ka sabit.
