Im a new hit and run victim: UCT-399

Was on my way home from Anilao Batangas last night, and got rear-ended by another car. The driver promptly sped off after hitting my vehicle. I couldnt chase after it cause my mudguard was hitting my rear tire.

We were in Bauan town, Batangas when this happened. I jotted down the make, model, color, and plate number of the car that did it.

Question is what can I do to claim damages? Help! sa mga lawyer ng tsikot :D

We went home to Manila right after the incident cause we were really on the way home....

Pwede rin siguro ng affidavit lang. My car was also rear ended. I filed a police report but they say ha hindi na kailangan. BTW. It the casa who handled all.

Some additional details on the other car, parang bata ang nagmamaneho. Sky Blue and color ng kotse, special color siguro, nagpa-repaint. Maingay ang exhaust, parang pang karera. Kasi nung nakita nyang nabangga nya ako, gigil na gigil at nagmamadaling maka-alis.

Only the courts have the authority to issue an arrest warrant.

The best thing for you to do is secure a copy of the police report, and report it to the LTO. Don't rely on the local town police to report it themselves, maraming ida-dahilan yan kung bakit ayaw nila (walang pang-gas, walang pamasahe, etc.)

Use the filing of criminal case only as a leverage (the other driver is liable for "Reckless Imprudence resulting to damage to Property"). Kung madadaan sa insurance, better. It's not worth your while to spend a lot on filing a criminal case which will take years to resolve. Talo ka sa expenses and oras, trust me, I speak from experience.

Yes, I have no problem paying for repairs myself. But how do we get the vehicle blacklisted as hotcar with a case in TMG/LTO?

^^^ Sorry, bro. AFAIK, only stolen cars are blacklisted sa TMG. All such cars kasi are naka-flash alarm to all TMG units nationwide.

Yung mga kotseng naka-hit & run, hindi naman yata bina-blacklist pag hindi na-involve sa kaso (meaning a case first has to be filed in court)

Yun nga lang abala during follow ups kasi sad to say kailangan ito. what if
