One of the worse things that can happen to you along wide roads is the tendency of people to avoid using the overpass and try to cross the road. While driving along commonwealth on the way to tandang sora, i was driving around 60-70 kph. i was on the 2nd lane when somebody tried to cross the road. I hit the horn to warn him but then he made the motion of trying to run into the 3rd lane so i swerved to the first lane but then he suddenly tried to backtrack to the first lane so i nearly hit him anyway. I was prepared to hear the sound of somebody hitting the car but luckily he stopped backtracking.
I hope he learns his lesson and use the overpass. Not worth risking one's life to save a small amount of effort.

What i do is i blow my horn continously medyo malayo pa sa tumatawid. With that motorists are alarmed and other passers by watched these ignorant pipol crossing the street.
hmmm...just bear in mind, to some people, then(or their relatives) getting hit by a car is like winning a mini-lotto...remember that story on channel 2 about this "mother" who throws her kids (on purpose) on the paths of unsuspecting drivers?
"tinatamad" is a lousy excuse for jaywalking. it really isn't any different from cheating on an exam kasi "tinatamad". kung tamaan sila ng kotse, i say the driver has every right to sue the jaywalker for damages to his/her vehicle!
hayop din yung mga jaywalkers sa EDSA, lalo na yung malapit sa LRT station at the foot of the Timog-East-Avenue-EDSA flyover near Timog.

amen!

sa mrt station nga, mga tamad rin umakyat ng staircase...they would rather waste time by staying in line n waiting than to move their big old butts up the stairs...sayang..exercise pa sana..kaya nga di umaasenso tong bansa... hehe
alam kong mali cguro ginagawa ni kiper pero to tell u the truth minsan ganon rin ako eh haha..road rage nlng cguro yan haha
at LRT station at the foot of the Timog-East-Avenue-EDSA flyover near Timog, that's the worse placement of u turn so far by the MMDA. Imagine all the jeeps from quezon avenue and private cars from quezon ave and edsa converging at one point. the jaywalkers naman don't have much of a problem dahil ang bagal ng kilos ng traffic. At the commonwealth area, the overpass are indeed kilometers away from each other but the road is poorly lighted but has been designed as a highway thereby increasing the danger to pedestrians who try to cross the road. Dapat may common sense naman yung mga jaywalkers as the risks are not the same.
what compounded the situation was the jaywalker along commonwealth made the motion of trying to run but suddenly changed his mind and backtracked. Just like a certain presidential candidate, having no commitment to a course of action that has an effect on us makes it difficult for us to make the neccessary adjustments.
sobrang bad trip yung sa may manggahan may overpass na nga sa ibaba pa din dumadaan. remember yung isang nescaster ng channel 7 di ko matandaan kung sino eh but she hit a jaywalker at 4 in the morning
ingat lang lagi while traversing commonwealth ave. dami ng fatalities from accidents na nangyari dyan. my cousin hit a pedestrian and unfortunately the guy died. my cousin settled it out-of-court na lang.
And to top that..may dala-dala pang ilang bags ng veggies. damn.
Arrgh! commonwealth! just the other night may biglang tumawid dun sa litex tumatakbo pa tulak yung kariton. bata pa nagtutulak.

be carefull when passing commonwealth late at night. There are times that people just lay down on the road waiting to be run over. I've experienced this before when I used to take commonwealth on my way home everyday. Thank God I haven't gone into any such accidents. Although it was pretty close. Right now, I usually take the lane farthest from the sidewalks to avoid HESITATING and UNDECISIVE JAYWALKERS and MAMBABATO. hehe Add ko lang, kahit na green light na tawid pa rin sina mokong basta malayo pa mga kotse at katabi ang overpass. I just can't help to think and wonder how could our country prosper with these type of people who couldn't do a small thing right.
