A few hours ago I was reading this blog
http://thor.prohosting.com/magne/drivers.html, and it hit me what suggestions or solutions could we give our Government, including MMDA, Mayors, PNP, City police, even the President of our country to prevent this concerns or make it better for all of us who drives the public roads..
Kindly post some here to inspire people too as well as do something about it to back it up, para hinde masabe na puro salita lang tayo dudes..
I suggest to have a proper terminals for jeeps and punish jeeps who pick up or drop off passengers pre-maturely

August 22nd, 2009 05:08 PM #3+ Treat 2-3 wheel vehicles as though they are full-fledged 4-wheel vehicles. This means bawal ang lusot-lusot in any situation unless emergency.
+ In addition to the establishment of official terminals for PUV's as stated above, PUV's to be restricted to the rightmost 50% of the 2-lane-wide or more roads, unless with the intention of turning left on the next corner. This means they cannot move to the left 50% of the road in any given time. If you notice, it's always PUV's that cause many traffic jams because of their "illegal terminals" to which they hog 75% of the road. (Hello, mga g*gong jeepneys sa may Sto. Domingo Church sa Q. Ave at sa Q. Boulevard sa may Isetann Recto.)
+ Fix all bus routes in Metro Manila so as to minimize the U-turns these big hunks of garbage make. Everytime they make a U-turn, it slows down traffic a great deal.
+ Be strict about headlight and tail light operation on vehicles.
+ Fix the idiotic traffic light scheme in the Metro and have some form of traffic monitoring system. Too many instances of having a red light on an intersection with too many waiting vehicles while the perpendicular green light has none.
+ Implement timed stops of PUV's on terminals. This means that they have a time limit on waiting for passengers.

Concrete traffic barriers
Remove or else properly mark them.
Cars hitting them at day or night isn't because people are drunk or speeding. It is because those damned things are hard to see in perfect weather conditions. They are impossible to see in bad weather conditions, especially at night.
MMDA & cops should stop blaming motorists when cars hit barriers simply because those barriers are lethal traffic hazards set in the middle of the road will little regard to public motoring safety rules.

yeah and addition to that, fix all those fast traffic lights too.. And the Police unless there are emergency should follow the traffic lights.. Pati na yung mga government officials and escorts nila, at least yung mga senator and below.. para pakita na model citizens sila
better kung kasama pati VP and President

one thing also, twice na eto nangyari sa akin na walang advisory na ang roxas blvd or a portion of it eh isasara due to some events. nagulat nalang ako na sarado ang roxas from quirino to pedro gil a few weeks ago. may susunduin sana ako sa may leveriza. instead of a few minutes nalang from roxas to leveriza dahil nasa intersection na ko ng quirino, bigla ba namang sarado. tuloy, inabot ako ng 1 oras para lang makarating ng leveriza from roxas blvd.

People were suppose to contribute solution not problem in this thread, please follow the instructions.. I know were better than those un-disciplined people.. But I think I know what you guys, testament & rai, mean - City cops/ MMDA should alert us in advance about the closing of roads and such in advance via media or what not.. A good point but I think we should fix first the morality and loyalty of the traffic police or police in general first to implement this rule. As my philosophy goes," A Happy traffic cop means a happy motorist" , if the cops are happy with their job that means they will be more chances that they will pay it forward and have high morale. And that means people who comes across them will be happy too cos they are doing a justly, fair and good job

Mukhang wala nang magagawa para sa mga pulis, they're already set on their old, erroneous ways so I suggest starting with the newer batch of enforcers, kahit na traffic enforcers lang ng barangay or MMDA: make sure they know all the more common traffice laws and regulations.

August 26th, 2009 02:03 PM #10Dapat ang trafic police or mmda, katulad nung araw, kahit motor pag nag counter flow huhulihin, pag pinahinto at hindi dumunod huhulihin. Any changes in traffic rules should be posted at lahat ng enforcers may book or guideliness para transparent sa hinuhuli. Tapos kapag police or mmda ang gumawa ng kalokohan dapat doble parusa.
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
