    From the Inquirer article:

The group, said Quezon City Police District Anti-Carnapping Task Force and Unit chief Supt. Ceasar Tannagan, chose expensive cars and struck between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.
No offense to Vios owners, but I think this police official should be more careful about issuing blanket statements like this that may mislead the public into thinking that only those who have high-end automobiles are in danger.

If you pass through McArthur Highway, specifically between Paniqui and Gerona in Tarlac, there is sometimes a 90s vintage Corolla (civilian car ito ha, no law enforcement markings whatsoever) with uniformed and armed persons that presumably serves as a checkpoint.

The government should advise motorists of all the official check-point areas.
