But curiously, is it legal for makati police to catch traffic offenders there? Isn't the ayala malls area considered "private property"?

The Makati local gov't breaks this law. They even catch coding cars in private roads, which shouldn't be done at all.

Don't stop if they have no means to get hold of you anyway. And if it's dark and no one's looking, you may even want to run them over.

ginawa ko na yan sa may leveriza/pasay/buendia. nag-left turn ako galing leveriza papuntang roxas around 11 PM nang biglang may lumabas na MMDA pinapara ako. di ko alam kung bawal yung left turn ko kc walang sign. di ko sya tinigilan, dumiretso lang ako.

Mga pare ingat sa Makati area. Particularly at stop lights. Recently I was charged with a violation- wreckless driving daw. I was at pasay road waiting for a green arrow light to turn left, going to greenbelt-1 McDonalds. Since I'm not familiar with makati traffic, I wasn't sure if there is a green arrow light.

Kaso ang lumalabas lang green and red. tapos green nanaman ang tagal. Di ba dapat pag may left turn na green arrow light, eh yun kagad yun susunod? Kaso ang naging sequence nung ilaw ay green-red-green-red. Wala sumunod na green arrow.

I ended up paying the cop on the spot para di kunin license ko. Coz i had to go out of town. I also wasn't able to get the cop's name.

i hope I'm wrong coz I'd hate to think that they have victimized other people who are unfamiliar with the area

two week ago nag-daan ako dyan... kumaliwa ako then pinara ako ng tatlong Brown Boys... di raw ako sumunod sa lights... buti na lang sa government service ako nag-wo work na under ng DOTC kaya ayun pinakita ko yung ID ko kaya lusot na ako sa violation ko... may green arrow pero matagal... i suggest na sa second corner na lang mag turn left para walang huli wala pang traffic lights...

Been driving around Makati for 20 years, pero hindi pa ako nahuli for violating traffic rules once in a while. Medyo sineswerte pa.

buti pa sa pasig, minsan nahuli ako, hindi ko napansin yung stoplight dun sa may simbahan ng pasig. stopped my car right on top of the pedestrian lane. sinita ako ng local traffic enforcer, when he found out na taga pasig ako, i just got a warning

but when my wife got caught by MAPSA sa makati, though it was her fault. nagulat ako, PhP 2,500 ang multa! 10% penalty/day pa pag di mo kinuha on time.grabe

nahuli rin ako sa makati sa may jupiter corner makati ave one way pala!!!! galing ako sa edsa dumaan ako jupiter then nakita ko taxi kumanan sa makati ave. sinundan ko cya pwede pa yun!!! pero dapat when ur in makati ave already sa unang kanto turn right ka ule kasi kung hindi one way na yun!!!! sobrang liit ng sign board na no entry!!! kinukuha ng pulis liscense ko nakiusap na lang ako ayaw pumayag then yung tita ko nakiusap since malapit lang sa makati ave office nya at meron cya binanggit na kakilala sa city hall ng makati at kilala rin nung pulis pinalusot na kami!!! all you need is a magic word!!!! ang mamahal ng violation sa makati grabe mahina na ang 1k sa pagtubos hehehe!!! may tinitingan panga yung pulis na pricelist ng violation "tama ba term ko"? meron 1k 1500 2k and up grabe talaga kaya be carefull. di baleng umikot ka ng umikot sa makati wag lang mahuli laking abala talaga!!!!
