Lesson learned moving forward ay not to counterflow sa lane kahit pa instructed ng enforcer.
Or think of it this way, if you do counterflow, you as well accept the risk na kung ma- accident na mangyari ay accountable ka for yourself at sa makaka bangga mo.

Of course naiintindihan ka ng marami but try to put your feet in their shoes.

FYI I did NOT counterflow on my own. Why can't people understand that?

ha? kahit pa presidente ng pilipinas, the chief executive of the land, you wouldn't follow, what the fack!

pare mali yang sinasabi mo. you follow the traffic enforcer. if a traffic enforcer tells you to pass this way, you pass that facking way. that's the reason why they are called traffic enforcers.

kung merong two way traffic, pero pagbalik mo one way na lang kasi yun ginawa ng nga traffic enforcers would you insist your way?

that's the job description of the traffic enforcers, do you understand?

if you're doing a facking wrong and you insist in doing it, you're arrogant.

Sige I stand corrected sa part na "kahit si Pnoy pa ang magsabi nyan" but in the case sa nangyari Cathy, mayroong miscommunication dahil hindi naman alam ng motorcyle driver na sinabihan si cathy na mag counterflow hence tinutukan nya ng harapan sa daan. So tayo bang nasa right of way at may nakita tayong nag counterflow ahead of us, do we assume na that they are counterflowing dahil mayroong nagsabing traffic enforcer dun sa unahan at hindi lang natin nakita. Hindi naman ganun ang isipin natin right?

Walla sa tamang Pag-iisip yun motor Kung mag-play chicken sya sa cage.

Parang tandang Lang yan when his hens are threatened by a pack of wild dogs.

    Kaya tanga sya

Bro,- You may be right on that assumption by the other driver....

However, what is the point of stopping inches away from the counterflowing vehicle? And threatening the other driver???

Hanap ng away sa kalye??? Iyan ang mas mali...

    "And who was wrong?

    And who was right?

It will not matter in the thick of the fight!" <<< changed the verb

No ruffled feathers...

    Share that fvck!ng road.

And please do not tell me that he is not counterflowing on his own in this lifetime.... Deym!

kSP mga nag-mo motor. They install powerful horns and they remove those silencers sa muffler, para mapansin

The thing is lumagay kayo sa lugar nyo, you bought a 50k vehicle, you don't have protection na cage as you identify

Society will never treat you as equals. Sorry but ganun talaga. If you don't want to be treated then mag-ipon kayo ng cat para safe kayo or if you can't afford, become humble. That's the only way

    ----

The best test naman is how do you behave if you drive a car and say a motorcycle cuts or swerves you, the first instinct from you "Sira ulo to ang lilit liit kala mo Kung Sino?"

    I thinks that's being honest

    ----

The bikes, I used to wish for a bike for exercise but seeing two of my friends die in a bike with a 200k bike compared to a 100k life fitness treadmill, sa treadmill na Lang ako. Coz drivers will never respect you if you're just biking for health or for the environment

Masakit kasi nararamdaman ng mc drivers. They feel they are being bullied all the time

And so they meet in Shell Tiendesitas to air each other's grievance and feel empowered

But creates a false sense of security your camaraderie will help you after you get hurt, say sprawled kana sa flloor, otherC drivers will definitely rush to the rescue while cagers will just look at you like any other road statistic

All those there joy on camaraderie , what is it's a life and limb even. Camaraderie can only stretch to other Mcers aiding you. Your body injury is forever

So be wise, those motorcycle will be no match for bigger cars so be careful. You wi always be the zebra in lion controlled Africa

Of course, from time to time there will a David Goliath exception to the rule , perp makadiyos ka ba to believe that miraculously God will put a force field to you while you're on the road. Usually once or twice in a lifetime lang to, but you are in the roads everyday

Tama ba to play chicken with my car? Tama ba hampasin auto ko? Eh di sana pinababa niya yung kasama niya at pinahuli niya ko sa pulis

I would assume thosr people saying that I should not have counterflowed live in an area where it is not part of traffic management! Kahit sa highway ginawa nila.

before we lock the thread... lets go back to basics: when counter flowing, what do you do when you see the vehicle who has the right of way is approaching you???

very simple cancel your counter flow and go back to your lane IMMEDIATELY! or else suffer a loud horn, high beams and worse head on collision which you are at fault!

THAT IS WHAT I DID. I tried to get in the right lane.

Do not make assumptions because you were not there. You didn't even understand or did you even read my initial post! Napakalayo ko pa. When I saw a car and a motorcycle in the opposite lane I knew that there was a problem in the coordination of tge counterflow!

PANO KO IPAPAHAMAK BUHAY NIYA? Kaya nag play chicken siya bec there was more than enough distance.

under RA 7924, the MMDA, apart from its other functions, is tasked with the administration and implementation of all traffic enforcement operations in metro manila. in line with this, MMDA employs traffic constables that will help ease the flow of traffic in the metro and apprehend traffic violators.*****

Under MMDA Reg. No. 97 - 003, ILLEGAL OR UNAUTHORIZED COUNTERFLOW is punished with a fine of Php2000 plus 3 months suspension of driver's license for the first offense, or 6 mos. suspension for second offense, or revocation of the DL for third offense.

here, according to TS, she had the green light from the traffic constable to "counter-flow," she hesitated at first but proceeded anyway. in other words, her "counter-flow" was NOT illegal or unauthorized. then, if that is so, she had every right to expect that the road she was traversing was free from onrushing traffic. if there had been miscommunication between the traffic constables manning the area, especially with the constable assigned at the other end of the road who did not warn other motorists that they opened the road for counter-flow, that should not be taken against her.

now, the question is, do traffic enforcers or constables have the power to authorize motorists to counter-flow? yes, it goes without saying. if in their judgment it will ease traffic, by all means, they can do so,* because, obviously, that is their mandate.

according to her, she was already on a full stop when she saw this motorcycle speeding right into her direction as if to hit her car head on, that was uncalled for. smacking her car thereafter was only adding insult to injury.*

if the MC driver believing in good faith that she illegally counter-flowed, did he have right to do what he did? by what right he could do that? if you were in TS' shoes at that time, would you not take offense? some in that situation would even react violently. at least, in her case, she still had sense to stay still and did not go out of her car and started a ruckus. the consequences would have been unimaginable.*

again, she could not be faulted over what happened, and it is the height of hypocrisy, if we civilized people here, would lay a blame on her.

    are you civilized? *
