Just this morning, a staff of mine received the following text on his phone:
Greetings! We would like to inform u that ur family medical privilege card has been forwarded to forfeited list of hmo, you only have today and tomorrow to release ur card, if ur still interested you may call Mr. Michael Tan (health coordinator) at 3814840 * 3814808 * 3814858. Medical Code no. RPAL-2491. Leading hmo
Originating mobile # +63926 943 2116
Now these scumbags are using fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) to play on the feelings of people. Worded vaguely as it is, unsuspecting victims might think it's their existing, legit, company-issued HMO card(s0 that have been put in the forfeiture list. Of course, the scam company can say "Oh, we meant the 'free card' you get from us."
For some of us, this is easily flagged as a scam. But sadly, many people could still be taken aback and victimized.
Please inform your respective HR departments to be wary of this and warn co-employees not to fall for this.

Of course, Binay's going to oppose it, because it's going to hurt his text propaganda brigade.
